Mohs surgery
Dr. Suchter performed Mohs surgery on a basal cell carcinoma on my nose last week. He and his team did an excellent job and, even though they told me there might be postoperative pain and recommended over the counter painkillers, the discomfort was minor on the day itself and gone by the next. While I cannot myself give medical advice, the Skin Cancer Foundation has an article by an MD entitled 'Mohs: The Gold Standard' and other online references written by MDs also support this position. I was not willing to settle for something less time-consuming but also less certain than Mohs micrographic surgery.

He has treated both my father and me. With my father, he took the time to answer questions from me, my wife, and my father. He fully endorsed the decision reached by our family even though it was different from what he proposed. For my treatment, he was thorough, efficient, and addressed my personal concerns even though they were outside the main issue of the visit. I should mention that we arrived well before our appointment time and were prepared with our concerns.
