I AM BLESSED TO FIND DR.SUMIDA......HE WAS SO KIND, CARING, AND I FELT IN GREAT HANDS,,,,,,HE FOUND MY PROBLEM AND GAVE ME A SHOT OF CORTISONE AND MY KNEE IS BETTER TODAY...THANK YOU SO MUCH...YOUR STAFF IS WONDERFUL I WANT TO LET DR. SUMIDA AND HIS STAFF ARE THE GREATEST!!!

In around 2004, I fell off a roof and shattered my right head into about 50 pieces. Dr. Sumida rebuilt my heal with what looks like a bicycle chain with a dozen screws and bone grafts. No weight for about 4 months. He even invented a specialty surgical tool, for my specific surgery needs, that was written up in a medical journal. Many said I would never walk again without pain, or a limp. As of this year in 2024, it has been 20 years since Dr. Sumida worked his magic on me. I am now almost 73. I have never had pain in my foot and have never had a limp of any kind!! I am even playing pickleball 3 times a week. I owe all this to a fantastic doctor and human being that would not accept anything but perfection. The results after 20 years speak for themselves. In my humble opinion, Dr. Sumida made an incredible difference in my life and I would never select any other orthopedic surgeon! Thanks Doc, I would thank you and shake your hand in person again, if I didn’t live in Florida now!!!

When I first went to Dr. Sumida, I had a light pain under my right shoulder blade. Because of insurance reasons, I had to do PT for 6 weeks before I could get a MRI. The PT actually took care of the pain so I thought nothing about doing the MRI or seeing Sumida again. Thankfully, his office called me to follow up with getting an MRI because I was ghosting the whole process of following up with him because I felt so good after going to PT. Needless to say I am glad they called. I did the MRI ONLY because they called. It turns on my rotator cuff was hanging on by threads and was about to be completely torn. If I'd waited much longer I may have needed a reverse shoulder surgery which would have put a halt to a lot of the activities that I enjoy doing such and functional fitness competitions and Spartan races. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Sumida to anyone! He truly cared about healing my wife from her pain when other doctors were quick to dismiss her. His office is clean and new, and staff was friendly as well.

Dr. Sumida repaired my rotator cuff in June 2018 and I couldn't have asked for better results. Surgery went very well and my recovery went very well - even though I had to work at PT 3 times/week! He will definitely be the Dr I see for any additional orthopedic surgeries I may need in the future. His staff is very professional, but compassionate.

Dr. Sumida is the best. He is personable, knowledgeable, and pays attention to the details. He did an extensive rotator cuff repair for me. I am very happy with his skills. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.

Every time I see Dr. Sumida he is the kindest man to me, it’s like he feels my pain and very sympathetic. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good orthopedic. Just love that man.

It has been almost a year since Dr. Sumida did a total hip replacement on me. I feel I have recovered very well and doing almost everything as before surgery. I played Senior Olympic Badminton before surgery, and it is too much of a risk of dislocating my hip to play now. I will give up playing badminton to be pain free and able to do everything else.

Had a follow-up visit to orthoscopic surgery on knee. Received artificial lubricant injection. Got in for discussion and injection expeditiously. Injection went well with minimal discomfort. It has now been a couple of weeks knee function seems to be improving, along with discomfort being less.

Dr Sumida is very kind and concerned. He always listens and is always encouraging.

I called Parkridge Bone & Joint to see my former orthopedist, Dr. Chambless about a shoulder issue I was having, only to find out that he had retired. I was told that I could see Dr. Chambless' partner Dr. Sumida and I made my appointment. I find that it is important when selecting a physician, that bedside manner and the ability to listen to the patient is the most important options in selection. To my surprise, I found Dr. Sumida and his staff, warm, kind and very caring of my situation. I found that Dr. Sumida, although looking looking at my records on his computer, LISTENED TO WHAT I WAS SAYING TO HIM as I was telling him of post surgery concerns and he provided additional information to rectify my concerns. I will (and have) referred friends to Dr. Sumida and should I need him again in the future, I have Dr. Sumida on speed dial and will call him immediately!!! I have been a patient of Dr. Sumida's for almost 20 years. He is very professional and always very kind and friendly to me. He's very thorough; he preferred to treat me conservatively on my issue with my Strained Achilles tendon. His entire office staff are very caring, also. I would highly recommend his office to anyone that is in need of a great orthopedic surgeon.

I strongly recommend Dr. Sumida, I have seen him for several different issues since 1998 (foot, elbows, shoulder). When my wife began having knee problems about 10 years ago, we knew right where to go, to Dr. Sumida. Recently, our 12 year old son began having pain in his feet, again, we knew right where to go, to Dr. Sumida. When I have had to have physical therapy, the physical therapists have great relationship and speak highly of Dr. Sumida. Dr. Sumida and his staff are excellent, they have always been polite, efficient, and very professional. So yes, I highly recommend Dr. Sumida!!!
