Condescending and Belittling
Doctor failed to communicate any of his reasons for wanting to order tests and procedures and became exasperated and annyoned when I said I don't have extra funds for what he called 'cancer screenings' when I had no symptoms and am in good health except for mild hypertension and hypothyroidism as well as fatigue. He refused to respect my declining of a mammogram and colonoscopy even when I objected on the basis of costs. Most health care is highly profit-driven and many tests are often not medically necessary - if I had symptoms or issues I would consider but I do not. Other providers I have seen have respected my decline of such procedures.
