Pleasantly surprised
I actually got to see Dr. Walmer for a follow up concerning my 92 year old mother. I was happy that he took his time and was very nice with her. I mentioned that the P.A. Christina turned us away yesterday for being 5 min late...unconscionable!!! He said to make appointments with him because he was flexible. It's too bad that a PA can make those rules and have such little empathy.

Completely incompetent
Was looking for an internal medicine doctor as my primary doctor. Spent a good hour filling out all there paperwork. Spent time articulating in detail the meds I took w/Dr. He left the room and his assist walks in with a sheet of meds, from another patient. Told her these were not my meds. She told me they got them straighten out. Next thing I know the wrong dosage of meds were called in to the pharmacy. What in the world, I just filled out paperwork in detail and then articulated what meds I needed. He messed up on 3 of the most important meds. Wouldn’t take my calls, respond to msgs. through the portal. Had 2 setup another appointment over what he messed up!! I Was hoping reviews on were flawed on another review site. Nope! Spot on! Worthless! Can’t listen and can’t follow prewritten information. Started to wonder what type of grades he made as a doctor, because he was a complete mess up! He could have killed me as one drug was life sustaining Med.

Absolutely horrible front office. I initially visited this doctor late January after contracting Covid Jan 6. We reviewed my history w/ Covid. He saw me on this date (Jan 26) knowing full well I was in the final recovery of Covid. Doctor Walmer didn't think much of it as he wasn't even wearing his mask properly (didnt have it over his nose). I was actually seeing him for stomach issues I have been having before Covid. Many blood tests were taken. Fast forward to 2/15 to talk to the Walmer to view my results. The doctor now REFUSED to see me. They asked me if I had a fever, NO. If I had muscle aches, NO. If I was having any issue breathing, NO. Then she asked me about a cough. I told her that I had a 'slight' one, but it was just more of a tickle in my throat. Everyone certainly from time to time will clear their throat with a cough. I was angry, and extremely disappointed. I need to know my test results. First, the Walmer was one to suggest to come back 3 weeks later.

My husband and I are second generation patients of Dr. Walmer. He was my parent’s Doctor for many years. We are all snowbirds from AK. It is nice having a “caring and available medical staff “ to call upon in a time of need. I also like their “Portal”-it makes communication so much easier and we can access labs quickly.

This was the first visit and during this time Dr. Walmer took his time to ask and discuss my history which was well received. His Staff was very tuned to great patient care and found to be very informative, again appreciated. More to follow over time.

Dr. Walmer is very thorough and caring. He is able to many tests and procedures right in his office instead of going to other facilities. I have had experience with him for over 10 years and he is my first choice for me.
