Dr Willis didn’t even bother to review my previous examinations before recommending of a very expensive MRI with contrast equaling 16k plus my time off work and what I’m out of pocket. After he saw the results. He seamed skeptical about helping me. If you were so skeptical why did you order such an expensive tests. I asked. After that. He seemed hesitant distant and unwilling to cooperate with me. Every time I asked him a question about the surgery he replied “ that’s a good question”. Wait…. WHAT. The healing time is a good question. I wouldn’t call that a great question I would call it a basic one. He tried referring me to multiple other specialists that would cost thousands in the end. I just wouldn’t recommend this individual he doesn’t seem devoted to helping people. And that’s a big thing in this world. Take this for what it’s worth. I am warning you so you don’t go through the same disappointment I did.

First time patients to this clinic s/b aware that at check in, you will be asked to sign a “Consent to Procedure”related to four potential procedures. Even though the clinic has your insurance on file prior to your appointment, they will NOT inform you of the costs of these potential procedures unless YOU ASK. I did not sign initially as I did not know if the procedure(s) applied to my visit, only to be pressed to sign later in the appt so things could proceed. Later I found out the 60-second nasal scope was billed to my UnitedHealth care insurance at $545, and $325 was my patient responsibility. The billing surprise/excessive fee for 60 seconds of work along w/ feeling like a widget moving through the factory at this practice, left me w/ a negative opinion of Colorado ENT. My subsequent CT scan of my sinuses (more time intensive, done in a more expensive hospital setting under more expensive equipment) was billed at a lower rate than the in office 60-second nasal scope.

I went to Dr. Willis and he never did a external exam of my neck until I ask him to check it. If he would have examined my neck he would have found two bumps which turned out to be thyroid cancer. In defense of him I did have nodules on my vocal cords but the main cause of my hoarseness was the nodule on my thyroid pressing against my the nerve of my vocal cord. I wish he would have spent more time looking at the entire picture rather than just looking at the inside of my throat w/ a scope.

I went to doctor Willis thinking I had a sinus problem and he said I needed sinus surgery so I had him do it. 3 months later I feel worse than when I first went in and he said it not your sinuses My question is why did I have to go through that hell if it wasn’t my sinuses in the first place it’s been 4 months now and a lot of wasted money (get a second opinion)

Dr. Willis was SO great. He did my tonsillectomy last month and it couldn't have gone better. He is very personable and very smart. He is also very reasonable with surgery. He doesn't recommend surgery just so he can do the surgery. I'm extremely happy with choosing Dr. Willis for my surgery.
