I have had double vision for many years, and have seen many doctors about it. Dr. Howard gave me the most thorough examination I have had, and corrected the prism that a previous physician had prescribed. She was attentive and kind. I highly recommend her.

Stay away!
I took my 8 year old daughter last year because she didn’t pass her vision screening at school. She had never required glasses before, but was having a little trouble seeing the board from the back row in class. She was given a prescription of -4.0 in her right eye, and -0.25 in her left. We got her glasses, which she sometimes wore, but complained things still looked blurry. She had her physical in June and passed the vision screen, which I found odd, given the high prescription. We decided to go to another eye doctor for her annual exam on the recommendation of one of my coworkers, who had previously had a bad experience with Martha Howard. Imagine my surprise when the other doctor told me my daughter doesn’t need glasses at all!! He said the prescription was completely wrong. She has been having headaches on and off for the past year, and now I’m convinced the increase in headaches was because of the glasses, which she never even needed. Stay away!!

She seemed rushed and stressed which probably was the reason she was slightly impatient and curt. When dealing with children, you would hope someone would be more patient and playful. She also recommended treatments that were very invasive. Her staff was not the friendliest.
