Not going back
My experience with Dr. McLaughlin was not positive. After just one visit, I decided not to return. She seemed more focused on her own perspective rather than taking my concerns into account, which left me feeling unheard. As a patient, I felt ashamed and very vulnerable during my appointment.

  • I didn't feel respected
  • Staff wasn't friendly

At least on phone presence, she’s not someone I trust. I called the answering service 37 weeks pregnant very sick and felt like she was zero help. Didn’t even ask about my baby moving (or really any other symptoms) until after I got upset and then blamed my frustration on anxiety. Literally called a friend in another state to receive care.

I had high blood pressure during my entire pregnancy and a resting heart rate of 120. It went completely ignored. I swelled to the point I lost my small toe nail. Ignored. I had a fourth degree tear and bled for over an hr after delivery. My baby couldn't breath and that was also ignored. She was septic and spent two weeks in the NICu bc the nurse acknowledged it. I now have incontinence and an enlarged heart and have to take BP meds. My daughter is autistic and delayed. Do not see this dr!

Dr. McLaughlin spent a great deal of time with me during my first visit. She always makes me feel like I'm her only patient and that my questions and concerns are valid. She advises me but also respects my input on my medical care. I feel very safe and confident with her as my care provider. The office staff is also very lovely and friendly.

Horrible...I felt my care was neglected and resulted in a loss after asking for a procedure and it not being done.
