Wonderful doctor
Dr. Young is fantastic. My son loves going to him. He explains everything clearly to me. His tests requests are for good reasons. He has taken excellent care of my son. He’s down to earth and easy to have a conversation with, the staff/ office members always made us feel comfortable. In the end, my son taken well care of. Love this place!

What a shocking disappointment
We inherited Dr. Young when my son's pediatrician retired. My son did not connect with him and wanted a different doctor. After a time, my son was having some potentially serious issues and needed to be seen. I asked if we could see Dr. Christensen in his practice instead. I received no call back, but then received a letter in the mail saying that since we were not satisfied with Dr. Young, we were being removed from the practice. The letter stated that if there was a serious medical condition, my son could be seen for 30 days. I called to get him in. I was told I would receive a call back, but never did. It will be a few months before I can get my son seen by a new doctor. Fortunately, it was not life-threatening. We were treated with utter disregard and in a most shocking and non-professional way. I spent my entire career working with medical professionals and I have never been treated so poorly.

Not for us
He is personable is personable and I could see him doing well with children. I appreciate that he did not force vaccines. That being said I was disappointed by a few things in our visits. My son was a preemie and on our first visit we were supposed to have his bilirubin checked. Dr. Young said he didn’t want to poke him and he had “a good eye for color.” Had we continued to have jaundice issues we would not have that baseline information. He recommended supplementing w formula as my son had lost 1 ounce since leaving the hospital, and also said he wanted to support the mother and give me a break. I asked him if he was concerned about the formula recalls and shortages, he said No, only a few babies had been affected. Next visit my son had gained an ounce per day, 2x as much as Dr. Young had said he should yet he suggested formula as well as getting baby on our schedule by stretchi time in between feedings gradually. I felt unheard and like he wasn’t supporting me in my parenting goals.
