I scheduled an appointment with her seeing as though I have been her patient for decades, and when she called my daughter had just fallen and fractured her skull so I was driving home from the hospital. I was a little shaken up by everything but still I wanted to speak with her on the phone. She told me that 'I can text her office when I was free and available to speak' so a few hours later I did just that. I called the office twice to make sure she knew I was waiting for her to call me back. SHE NEVER DID. Then proceeds to charge me $200 for the session she made me reschedule. And then for my rescheduled visit we speak about my kids and my personal life (mind you she is the one who brought the topic up) and we only discussed medications for 15 minutes!!! She then charges $500 additionally for the visit. When I called the office the next day the receptionists was very sweet (Emani was her name I think), explained to me that she will talk with her about a refund. She only did the $200!!

She saved my life
I have been a patient of Dr. Ty's for more than 15 years. Before the modern Hepatitis C treatments were developed, the standard treatment was a combination of Interferon and Ribavarin. The treatment lasted a year and the physical side effects were brutal enough, but the mental effects were deadly. In the pack insert for Interferon, there was a warning that completed suicides had been reported for patients who had been on it. I found out the hard way just how prophetic those words were. The stuff screwed with my body and mind severely. I had to come off the treatment at week 13. I had never seen a psychiatrist before and I was not eager to see one at the time, but it was a matter of survival. By pure dumb luck, I found Dr. Ty. She saved my life. As brutal as the treatment had been, I came to view the experience as one of the best things that ever happened to me. With Dr. Ty's help, it made me a better person. YMMV of course, but my experience with Dr. Ty has been wonderful.

Exceptional Patient Centered Psychiatrist
I have been a Patient of Dr. Ty since January 2001. She continues to provide cutting edge medical services to Her patients, through a combination of cognitive therapy sessions, Medications and TMS, as applicable. Dr. Ty will always provide the Patient with a choice of the best possible medications and treatment options for their specific situation. Dr. Tye is an extremely good listener and asks the best possible questions, to determine what is really happening in a Patient’s Life currently, as well as in their past. She uses Her forty years of experience, to determine the best possible treatment plan for Her patients. Please, rest assured, that once diagnosed, Dr. Ty will work diligently with the Patient to maintain their overall mental and physical health. She Always does Her 50 percent and then some. The other 50 percent, must, of course, be provided, by The Patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Ty and Her Office support staff to anyone seeking top level Services.

Excellent Physician
Dr. Ty has been my physician for many years. Yes, I have waited for my appointment; however, Dr. Ty has always been worth the inconvenience. I trust her judgement and treatment directives. My improvement has been remarkable, and Dr. Ty must be credited with a significant portion of my recovery. I highly recommend and thank her.

Mediocre at Best
My father is a patient with Dr. Ty. 1.) it is extremely unprofessional to push a rapture agenda on patients already dealing with mental illness, but she does. 2.) The receptionist she has hired is lazy, aggressive, rude, and incompetent and those are the redeeming qualities. Apparently it takes her four days to speak to the doctor regarding available appointments. 3.) They've repeatedly left my father without his medication and waited until he was in the full throws of withdrawals before returning the call to schedule his appointments. If I had it my way, we'd be suing.

??I have been a patient of Dr Ty's for over 5 years but within the past year she has hired a new very unqualified "receptionist". To say I am appalled by her work ethic is an understatement. I have never been so disrescted by someone. she consistently gives me attitude and raises her voice at me and then hangs up on me. If you are working in the mental health field you should probably hire employees who are not rude and aggressive to your patients.

Excellent! She Dx me right away..she was absolutely right on, after that All became clear to me. Yes, the medicine prescribed took time for my brain to catch up..but it needs to “reset” your neurotransmitters totally in your brain. Be patient. Thank you Dr. Ty for literally saving my life!.. Chandra 2005 and still going strong!

She literally saved my life. I'm now a self-confident woman who was lost. Getting adjusted to the meds took a while. That's when some people get discouraged and feel she isn't helping, but, not true.

Twice misdiagnosed. Prescribed meds which were incompatible with an unrelated health issue of which she was well aware. Spent time during my sessions attempting to to push her expensive and unwanted vitamins as her side gig. Consistently and unreasonably late. In short, an expensive waste of time.
