Dr. Mary Chitwood, MD

very conscience doctor in my opinion. has always taken sufficient time to answer my questions.

When she went part-time the service started going down. It was extremely hard to see her as my doctor instead of one of her assistants. I started noticing for near anything I brought up she told me I had to see a specialist, urgent care or the ER. She sent me to urgent care for a regular cyst under my arm. Then she sent me to an ENT because I had a larger tonsils which I've had all my life but I asked about them so she sent me. Then I was diagnosed by nurse practitioners with high blood pressure and she put me on a medicine for it. A few days after I started taking this medicine I started having a fast heartbeat and what felt like my heart skipping a beat. I called a few times about the issues I was having with the new medicine but instead of accepting that the medicine may not be for me she wanted to put me on a heart monitor. When I questioned it and the medicine again I was told by the nurse via phone that I needed the ER. That was the last time I saw this doctor. Rediculous.

Dr. Chitwood is an excellent doctor. She explains everything, doesn't rush the visit and is very thorough

Her bad side manor could use so working on. I dont ready feel like she was interested in listening to my problems. Just wants to get to the next patient. Also a 45min wait.

My daughter has been seen by dr chitwood for years. When it comes to the well far of a patient dr chitwood is the worst ever. When asked to speak to dr chitwood about my daughters care, I was advised that dr chitwood doesn't have time to speak to me during clinic hours. She could not call after hours because dr chitwood has a busy life dealing with her 6 children. Dr chitwood is willing to put my daughters well being in danger. We will never return or recommend dr chitwood
