Dismissive and unprofessional
I've been a patient of this establishment for several years. Last year, we were on vacation in Oregon when suddenly, one of my eyes half filled up with Blood. I tried calling the office, to no avail since the person who answered the phone couldn't help me but said I would get a call back. I didn't. I sent an email using their site and sent a photo of my eye, no response - ever! The next time I visited for my regular followup, I explained what had happened and Dr Coday just said, yea, we've been having trouble. This weekend I started getting an annoying feeling in my left eye. I tried using drops for a couple of days but the pain was getting worse and my eyelid was turning red. I called the office, explained my problem and the young man said the earliest they could see my was October 9th!!! I explained that the pain was getting worse and I needed to see someone now. He put me on hold and eventually got back claiming that he couldn't get hold of the person he needed to talk to but that s

Do not schedule here
Had made an appointment, made it clear needed both diabetic exam and vision check. Apparently at this office it is 2 separate appts, oh and if you want contact lenses that is another appt. They talked to her and she agreed to do both appts at once. Got there, they had no idea. The doctor told me I would have an additional cost for vision check. I cleared this with your staff and you. So had to pay an additional fee for vision check. Wait, when you go to eye Dr. wouldn't you want your eyes checked. Left with an eyeglass rx. Went next door to their in office eyeglasses. COULD NOT GET HELPED. I will never go back there. They sent me a text today to confirm my appt that is scheduled in a week. AND THE CHARGES IF I DON'T SHOW. I never scheduled appt. THIS IS A MONEY GRUBBING OFFICE THAT DOES NOT CARE IN THE LEAST FOR ANY OF THEIR PATIENTS. THEY JUST WANT $.

Don't bother: She will cancel on you
Do not bother with these Doctors. They are incapable of making and keeping appointments. Their front desk is incompetent, unable to answer the phone, and send repeated text messages (4x) about their $75 cancelation fee within 24 hours. Their office then repeatedly cancels appointments 12 hours beforehand. Canceled appointments for Dr Mary Coday are then scheduled as 'possibly fit you in' with zero consideration for your schedule. You'll get to wait another 3 months if your reschedule appointment doesn't work at which time they will cancel on you again!! Save your time and aggravation and go anywhere else. There are PLENTY of organized, capable Ophthalmologist on the eastside and in Seattle with support staff that can answer phones, answer questions, schedule appointments with knowledgeable Doctors who will gladly see you.

The best result I had hoped for!
During my first visit with Dr. Coday prior to my cataract surgery, I told her my criteria for success of the procedure(s) was to never have to use external corrective lenses again. To her credit, she told me that there were no promises. Two weeks after the second eye was done, my vision is 20:20 for, probably, the first time in my life! My nearsightedness was diagnosed when I was 6 years old (I am now 78,), and I had likely been 20:300 from the time I was born. While my vision may change in the future, I am ecstatic about the result of her fine care and the prospect of living lens-free in the coming years. Let the trumpet herald commence!

Dr. Coday is very thorough in her examinations. She takes the time to explain her findings and works with the patient on the course of treatment. I have been to other ophthalmologists in the Seattle/Bellevue area, and I find that Dr. Coday has the most outstanding credentials, yet is easy to communicate with.
