Awful. After a couple of years of treatment, my daughter began to indicate her issues with food. She was completely dismissed with, "just eat more" and "if you are hungry, have a snack before you come". She walked away from that appointment feeling like she was crazy and that there must not be a problem. Her last appointment was only 2 months ago. She is now in an inpatient eating disorder center. She is so underweight they are concerned about her heart and liver function. If she had been given ANY kind or helpful direction or support, she may not have had to go to a hospital for treatment. To be very clear, I am in no way blaming Dr. Holguin for my daughter's eating disorder. I am very clearly blaming her for dismissing what was an obvious desire for help from her patient. Her dismissive nature exacerbated an already troubling situation and my daughter was left to fend for herself after trusting Dr. Holguin for her mental care. Unacceptable.

Dr. Garcia-Holguin has helped me tremendously. I am still on the road to recovery but she has consistently given me quality care. I have had a good experience with the office staff and they always are prompt at my appointment time. It is not easy to confide in a doctor on your very first visit, but I was immediately at ease. She has a gentle and considerate manner. I feel very fortunate to have found such excellent care.

No complex issues. Just discovered our daughter had ADHD at age 16. Office visits were a joke...although probably req'd for Rx refill.

Refuses to speak with families of children in inpatient setting. Improperly diagnoses without obtaining any history. Diagnosed my child without him meeting any of the diagnostic criteria for the disorder.

Please avoid this doctor at all costs. This doctor will never return phone calls, she charges to write prescriptions, she doesn’t listen to concerns and she is rude. Also, her office is a complete MESS. Patient files are scattered all over her desk and piled high. I thought she was the only provider that accepts Tricare but I was wrong. Clarity child guidance center accepts Tricare as well as other doctors. Please don’t feel like you have to go to this provider for your child.

The office staff is exceedingly difficult to work with, covering mistakes and holding to the belief that they are correct UNTIL management gets involve. Dr Holguin seems unconcerned with how her patients are treated my the staff. It is hard to make appointments and to get call backs. If I could find anyone one else that takes Tricare, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

We were asked the same things every time, and concerns about removing our child from medication were not addressed.

Dr. Garcia-Holguin is a wonderful doctor and listens carefully and considerately. Her front office, however, leaves a lot to be desired. They don't return voicemails, barely pick up the phone during office hours, and have horrible customer service skills. Any question I ask is met with an "I don't know" and I have to request for them to check and find an answer, instead of them taking the initiative. Their attitudes are off-putting and they act annoyed and terribly inconvenienced with every task
