Dr. Mary Laplante, MD

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a physician. Dr.Laplante was rude,judgemental and not at all concerned with my plans for my body. She continuously debated with me on my opinions for my healthcare. I will never see her again

I cannot highly recommend Dr. Laplante enough if you are one of the many women who suffer from chronic, life impacting pelvic and menstrual pain. When hormone therapy didn't work, she suggested laparoscopic surgery to search for endometriosis. Prior to my surgery, she came in multiple times to ask me if I have any questions which put me at ease. After the procedure, I asked her if she had found my pain and she responded "I am sorry not this time but we will figure it out" as she put her hand on my arm. My recovery from surgery was pretty minimal with no issues. When I went for the post OP, I was expecting the same well you are young and healthy so I don't know what to tell you but she kept her promise and had planned several next steps in treatment. If you want a bubbly doctor to just write you a prescription, she probably isn't for you. However, if you want a partner that truly cares and will help you figure out what is really wrong to FIX the problem then go see Dr. Laplante.

Stay away! Not friendly. Very, very painful exam. Left me bleeding and almost loosing my countionceness all in blood like in horror movie. Rude. Unprofessional attitude. No heart. No mercy.

Was not at all friendly was very ce said I needed life coach for post menopausal heavy bleeding was seen in emergency prior to visit then brought up my weight and proceeded to put me on a medication that the one big side effect it has is gaining weight put me on this med no blood test would not recommend told her I had bad pain she dismissed that plus pharmacy downstairs from office did not even have the medication

Dr LaPlante has been my doctor for 20 years. I ve moved a few times out of state and always came back to her. She spends time with her patients, listens to all my concerns, and makes sure I understood everything and felt comfortable with my dx. If I had a question via MyChart she was always quick to reply.

Dr. LaPlante listened to me and addressed every one of my concerns. She is everything you could hope for in a doctor!

Dr. Laplante is a physician that checks her messages in MyChart, actually calls you back, and spends time on the phone listening to her patients. In the office, she listens to my concerns and treats me like I am the only patient on her schedule. Even though I have moved out of the Cleveland area, I will continue to drive 2 hours for an appointment with Dr. Laplante. She addresses any concerns I have over the phone because she appreciates my time for travel. Highly recommended.

I would not recommend Dr. Laplande for these reasons, she was not warm and caring to a new elderly patient, very poor bed side manner. She caused pain and grief with no concern.
