Not great for patients with Celiac disease
Dr. Mortell is very kind and has been slightly helpful with my Celiac disease diagnosis, but has given me worrisome advice. She told me that I could continue to eat gluten since my symptoms did not appear to be intense, which is very dangerous and incorrect advice. She consistently recommends the same over the counter solutions even when they've been proven not to help me and offers no alternatives. She has also written off many physical symptoms to depression or anxiety even when blood tests have shown abnormal results. For patients with Celiac disease, I'd recommend finding a different gastroenterologist.

Endoscopy and Colonoscopy
The doctor did not appear interested in me as a patient or human being. Her communications before and after the procedure were minimal and insufficient, adding to my anxiety about the outcome. Technically, I believe she was very competent. I would not choose to see her again given her perfunctory communication and dismissiveness about a concern I raised after the procedure.
