Dr. Mary Moyer, MD

I too was unaware that Dr. Moyer had sold her practice to Optima. I made an appointment to have another Pap since mine came back abnormal and was missed for over 2 years by Dr. Moyer. (In looking over past blood work I found a report showing that my Pap in 2017 was abnormal! She was totally unaware when I asked her about it in November of 2019!) Anyway, I explained when I made the appointment that I was coming in for a second follow up pap. When I got there they said my appointment was for a physical. They didn't have any of my records and insisted that I come back for a pap. When I made the second appointment a week later I was told that the appointment was to go over my blood work only and they had not scheduled me for a pap. I was also told that they couldn't see me until I had changed my primary doctor to their doctor for my insurance to cover. I'm glad to be rid of them and have started with a new doctor.

I came in for an annual exam, like I have for the past 8 years at the same practice. Apparently since I have been there last, Dr. Moyer sold her practice to Optima Medical. Through the exam Dr. Moyer acted as though she had no past records on me. She had to put much of her focus into using the new voice recorder and accompanying software than into going over my medical history. I requested a basic prescription that another one of my doctors had been prescribing, and she wrote the prescription incorrectly. After I got home, I waited over a week for my lab results. It's almost been a month, and I have yet to get a call from this facility to go over my labs. Also, after I got home, one of the call backs I did receive from my numerous messages left for the doctor, I was told that I needed to call my insurance to update the facility's tax ID if my exam was to be covered. I did as they said, but then was told by insurance that the office had to make that change. A complete waste of time.

Dr Moyer didn’t recognize the seriousness of my health issues and I ended up in ICU

I am not sure what is going on with this office. It seems there has been a mass mutiny, since that time I have had a terrible time even getting a prescription called in properly. I had great service when Jon Buckwalter was there but since that time I have been disappointed!

I have trusted my families health care to Doctor Moyer for over a decade. She is the best doctor I have EVER had. If I was forced to say something negative about her services it would be that more people have discovered her and it is getting more difficult to see her on short notice and the wait times have increased. She does have a PA on staff so we have never been turned away. Wonderful lady with a great soul!

Dr. Moyer has a lovely office and professional staff, but she was not able to help me with my conditions. Once I left her care, I was able to get the proper help and medication - and greatly improve. She is very professional, but seems to lack progressive knowledge.
