Sorry to say that I can't recommend Dr. Shuman. I went to her with an obvious prolapse and she sent me on my way for physical therapy. First of all, I am way too busy working fulltime to try to fit this nonsense into my schedule and second it was the wrong course of treatment for the stage I was in. I was definitely discouraged and almost gave up hope but thankfully I gave it one more shot with a different practice and now at post surgery I am doing well. I can say with absolute confidence had Dr. Shuman presented with my exact same symptoms she would not have recommended therapy for herself!

I switched to her and had seen her for 3 appts. Went into premature labor at 34 weeks, at which point I freaked out when I found out she couldn't deliver me, and I asked the hospital staff to call her for me, at which point she was mad that I called and interrupted her "MLK day vacation" and initially answered the phone saying, "yeah, uh, hi, I don't know who you are, but", and I had to remind her I actually am one of her patients. She then heckled me for not trusting the doctor on-call.

I LOVE my doctor. She is amazing. I love her bedside manor, her knowledge, her honesty. I have been under her care for the last 8+ years and she will be delivering my second baby next week. Best OBGYN in the area.

Dr. Shuman delivered another one of my children. I was induced at 36 weeks with Cholestasis. I was afraid and unsure and she worked hard to ease my worries and induce my labor. She ways takes the time to answer my questions no matter how silly they sound. I think she is by far the best Dr. around and she will be delivering another of my babies in about 2 weeks.
