Dr. Maryam Khawari, MD

Dr. Khiwari was attentive and initially addressed my issues promptly and appropriately but when I tried to reach her during off hours, I reached a recording which said the mailbox was full. Very unprofessional after hours care. Office staff rude and poorly trained.

This is my fourth rheumatologist. All others never listened, ordered basic bloodwork and told me I had fibromyalgia. Tge last one I saw said everything was arthritis even though she never asked me a single question. Dr Khawari listened when I spoke and asked many questions. She wasn't happy with just saying it was fibromyalgia and ordered three times the bloodwork others ordered and now multiple things have come back positive. Maybe it isn't fibromyalgia. Maybe it's something that needs to be treated differently. I now feel I'm closer to getting answers. I truly appreciate the time spent with me. Someone said she was great on the first visit but didn't remember enough about them on the next....I can't remember what I ate for breakfast so I can't expect someone to remember me after one (or even more appointments) when they see so many people, but I do feel confident she will reacquaint herself next visit and know where to go from here with current tests results.

The doctor is great on initial consultation. However down hill from there. Had not read the chart before next visit. Barely remembered details. Office staff failed to send X-rays after referral to an orthopedic doctor and could not send them when we were at the doctors office after weeks of waiting. Had to get X-rays and more radiation exposure again due to office failure. Typical volume based treatment from incompetent office staff. Calls go on hold for 6-10 minutes. After several attempts we asked not to be put on hold since we were at the other doctor. They put us on hold. The other doc we were referred to was frustrated as well. Wasted his time and ours. You’re only as good as your support people.

Spent time, listened to my condition, and ordered the necessary tests.

She was very rude ! Bad bedside manners Will never go to her again .
