Dr. Mason Gasper, DO

During my visit with Dr. Gasper and another practitioner, many of my symptoms were dismissed, despite their worsening. Before this, I had neurological testing showing unexplained nerve damage at C5,C6 and reported aura migraines, tremors, and nerve pain. Although Dr. Gasper ordered tests, they felt rushed. For example, during the nerve conduction study, only my right leg was tested, even though my upper extremities were the most affected, impacting my mobility and quality of life. When reviewing my MRI, Dr. Gasper noted white spots but dismissed them as 'probably just from migraines,' without further investigation despite my severe symptoms. I felt disrespected when he dismissed my questions and instead recommended over seven vitamins, even though my bloodwork showed no deficiencies. The practice appeared more focused on its online image than patient care. My experience with Dr. Gasper left me without answers or a clear treatment plan, and I felt my concerns were not taken seriously.

The office rushed me in, and when I asked why am I here ? He had no idea ! The staff had no idea, but yet were very happy to inform me that I had to pay my co-pay! For what ! I never have seen such incompetent people, including the doctor treating me. Waiting 45 minutes in examining room. Staffer took my blood pressure with a wrist BP monitor. Didn’t work 4 different times, then she just walked away. Very unprofessional. Using a BP monitor that you can buy at Walmart. Too cheap to buy a professional medical device ? I also waited 45 minutes in the examining room. I walked out and asked where the doctor was, and she said I think he is in his office. He will be with you in a minute.

Took his office 5 days to get a prescription to the pharmacy - meaning I suffered debilitating migraines for an entire weekend. When I called yet again for the 4th time, someone told me they would get to it "sometime today." For both appointments with this doctor I had to wait at least a half hour past the time as he was running late. He mostly recommends vitamins and supplements and you have to specifically ask for any kind of actual medicine. I'm not staying with this practice. I don't think it's run well and I don't trust the doctor's input.

Gasper Neurology is a fantastic doctors office with a great team! It is obvious that patient care is their top priority. Jessica Ventura is the NP that helped me and she has absolutely changed my quality of life for the better. I have been suffering with debilitating migraines since about 2004/2005. She took the time to go over several options that she thought would help and explained them all in detail. After just two visits with her my migraines have dropped significantly in both pain level and frequency. It's been almost two months since I started treatment and I've only had 3-4 minor headaches and one "bad" migraine. Even this "bad" migraine was significantly less pain than I felt prior to treatment. I finally feel like I have control of my life again. This is the place to go if you need a neurologist with a caring support team!
