Dr. Matthew Barrett, MD

TOA is ABSOLUTELY the best Orthopedic source in Middle Tennessee. My only concern is the wait time. My appointment was scheduled for 1:20 PM, I was right on time and had checked-in online. Wait time was a long, long time. I left TOA @ 3:03 PM. Yes, there were other patients there, but everyone was not seeing Dr. Barrett. No one expressed why the wait time was so long or offered apologies.

He was very thorough and listened to my questions and concerns. He also set up therapy for me to addres my health issues.

This was my 1 year appointment after the left total knee replacement and it is 7 months since the right knee replacement was done. I have no more pain and excited about living an active life. Dr Barrett & his staff are the best & I would recommend to everyone.

Dr. Barrett explained everything well. I’m two days post-op Total Left Knee Replacement and had my first P.T. today. I’m moving well and having minimal pain at this time. The TOA office of Dr. Matthew Barrett and the TOA Physical Therapy Office have been very kind and professional. I love the detailed communication through texting and emailing. At this stage of my recovery I believe my experience has been very satisfactory. I expect great results from this surgery and can’t wait to be able to be more active again without severe knee pain.

A one year check up for my total knee replacement. It is doing great. I have no more pain. Thanks to Dr. Barrett for his excellent expertise.

I have some challenging joints. But due to his commitment to perfection my knees times 2 and my hips times 2 are fabulous. I have no pain in any of these joints. And walk like a normal person. Unbelievable

Dr Barrett is always willing to listen to his patients and their concerns. He provides excellent explanations that are importantly to the patient as well and as well of which we can understand install of all medical terminology, as many other doctors regularly do.

Dr. Barrett has always taken extra time with me when needed and being as concerned as my best friend. He is thorough and very thoughtful, and did a super job with my hip replacement and follow-ups.
