Dr. Matthew Davies, DO

As someone with PTSD and reading the above review - it is odd that he has done nothing to help me with labs or any tests - yet his office has prescribed me way too many muscle relaxers. It is like he wants his patients to die because he thinks they are a burden to society.

I am a recently retired Pharmaceuticals Sales Representative. I recently moved to Hilo, and started using the VA outpatient Clinic. I have dealt with hundreds of MD and DO during my career. I was also able to choose, the Top Drs. For my health care needs. I feel fortunate to have Dr Davies and the VA clinic as my health care provider. The care is world class. Be it routine visits or for more urgent care. Clinic and Dr. Davies is there for me. Time is taken to explain the treatment plan

Dr. Davies, is currently with the Hilo VA clinic. Dr. Is highly competent, he stays up to date with treatment protocols. His office Manners, comfort patients. He takes the time to educate patients on their health problems as well as maintaining good health. He is concerned that patient receive referrals to proper specialists, when necessary .

He's a quack. Never put his hands on my husband to even listen to his his chest and lungs. He kept telling my husband that his shortness of breath and back pain were his PTSD ramping up, for 3 years. The mental health doc kept telling my husband to go back to see Davies and he never even ordered a chest xray for him. After 4 ER visits because of intense pain Davies tried to scold me for taking him to the ER. In our last visit he even gave us the recipe of prescribed pills to "Not wake up".
