Dr. Matthew Dobbs, MD

With Dr.Dobbs you are getting both a world class surgeon and the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. Him and all his team and the other doctors he works with treat your child as their number one priority and as stressed out and worried as I am about my daughter, her appointments with Dr.Dobbs always make me feel like everything is going to be ok. I would trust him blindly because he’s that good and if you are looking for someone who is going to care for your child like their own then that is Dr.Dobbs.

Unfortunately care has continually become more about the money than the best interests of the patients. For us, and others, it’s more and more unnecessary surgeries. Foot reconstruction surgery with soft tissue releases that was unnecessary, now causing issues and likely caused by his bar. ATTT and leg length discrepancy surgery which were not recommended by other providers. You are left with a flat top talus due to casting methods. He continually bills for PT services not rendered. Staff is never the same and continually turn over. Steer clear and go somewhere else!

My son had an out-patient surgery recently with Dr. Dobbs. There is no one else that I would trust with my son's care. Dr. Dobb's team is always incredibly professional and knowledgeable. We traveled from several states away for our care, and we are so appreciative of him!

Dr. Dobbs has an excellent bedside manner and provides exceptional care for my son. He has been my son's orthopedic surgeon since he was 11 years old and has performed five surgeries to improve his quality of life. Now, at 19, my son has spastic dysplasia cerebral palsy, but thanks to Dr. Dobbs, he has a restored sense of purpose. He is now focused on attending college to pursue a degree in audio engineering, as well as aspirations for marriage and having children.

We traveled 11.5 hours for surgery with Dr Dobbs and we have 5 more trips to go. It has been an amazing experience from day 1. Everyone has been wonderful! Dr Dobbs gave us hope and I am excited to see the transformation in my son’s feet!

Dr. Dobbs has the very rare combination of being a highly skilled and talented surgeon while also having an exceptional bedside manner. We traveled through Hurricane Milton for him to operate on our child and we would not do that for just any surgeon. He treats our daughter as an individual, not as a diagnosis. So many surgeons have a policy of how to handle each diagnosis, but Dr. Dobbs customizes his treatment to what is best for the individual.

Dr. Dobbs is a nice enough man and he's good at what he does. However, we find ourselves on a similar page as a previous reviewer. Not only is traveling to West Palm Beach much more expensive and difficult than it was traveling to St. Louis, but he's less available and we're paying more to see him. You can still message him and whatnot, but getting an appointment around his constant traveling has become frustrating. Our entire year has to be planned around it. Also, the staff is never the same, which makes it difficult to build a relationship and comfort level. Kathy was that bridge for us, and she's no longer there. We're not sure what changed either. It didn't seem to be this way when he first moved. It's been over the past 1.5 - 2 years that we've felt and seen the shift. We were hoping it would reverse itself, but unfortunately it's time for us to move on. We thank you for your care of our child and hope things work out for you, Dr. Dobbs.

Dr Dobbs has treated our daughter since she was almost one. She is turning 14 years old this month. Dr Dobbs is always great with communication and taking time to go over everything never feeling rushed. We love how easily it is to reach him with any questions or concerns. He is very skilled at what he does and has helped our daughter tremendously with vertical talus and clubfoot. Highly recommend

Always quick to answer, got us in when we needed, explained everything well, very reassuring, proactive with issues instead of waiting too late. Very informative.

Dr. Dobbs is truly the best in his field and in my experience with doctors in general. He listens. He really listens, and I cannot stress how valuable that is and has been on my medical journey with my son. Dr. Dobbs also delivered on everything he said he would do. We were misdiagnosed 5 times with our local physicians but noticed regression in my son’s walking. Dobbs is extremely thorough and skilled at handling these cases.

Dr. Dobbs is great & helpful at every turn of care. Whether it was a Zoom visit, personal visit or surgery, I felt that I had the best care at all stages. He spends the time with you to know you & understand what's going on. His office staff is honestly the best I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Personally, Kathy, Katy, Angela and Michelle worked closely with me during my visits and surgery & I cannot say enough kind things. Kathy was able to coordinate everything flawlessly for me to come out of state & was incredibly responsive in her emails. She also had immense patience with me as I was constantly emailing her questions. Katy and Michelle were wonderful on surgery day & made me feel so welcome & comfortable prepping for surgery. The entire team is so kind & helpful. The team takes the time to answer all questions that you have, & also makes you feel extremely comfortable. I previously had seen Dr. Dobbs in St. Louis & following him to FL was worth the trip.

Dr Dobbs operated on me just this week. This was a major major procedure and I've put my trust in him. So far he's been very available and he said the surgery went well. I'll update the review with may progress. I'll tell you that his staff including Kathy, Michelle, and Katy have been excellent and extremely responsiveness to all questions and concerns.

Dr Dobbs and his team are life changers. We started seeing them when they were in St Louis and my daughter was 1 year old for vertical talus (her feet were folded up on her shins at birth). He has since moved locations to FL. We made our follow up visit there. Made the drive, had the needed surgery, and will follow up with care as needed. We believe so much in his team that we will go wherever they are when our daughter needs an appointment. They ensure that all questions are answered and that all needs are met. Loyal customer for 9 years and will be for years to come

Very knowledgeable and personable doctor. We wouldn’t go to any other orthopedic doctor. We live in Illinois and started going to him in St.Louis and now we have followed him to Florida.

We found Dr. Dobbs as a second opinion when we had concerns about my daughter’s clubfoot treatment at home in Texas. Not only was he able to correct her complex clubfoot, but he’s listened to our concerns and answered every question we’ve had. His team is the best and we will not go anywhere else until he retires.
