Takes time with his patients
Compassionate, caring and eager to answer questions. He takes his time and I don’t feel rushed. Answers questions fully and makes sure I understand. Follows up via telephone if any of my plans have changed. Highly recommend as he has the best bedside manners.

Dr. E and his staff always take great care of me! I have been seeing this Doctor and office for a couple of years now. They have worked with my busy schedule and always get me in and out of the office efficiently. The treatment works great to mitigate my migraines and the Doctor always listens and takes into account any concerns or treatment issues I may have.

Dr. Engelbrecht is an excellent listener. He takes the time to answer questions, explains conditions and treatment options clearly, and never made me feel rushed. He and his staff responded to calls in a timely and kind fashion, even after I was no longer a local patient. Dr. Englebrecht and his staff not only gave me excellent care while I lived in Asheville, but helped me transition to neurological care when I moved away.

I have been in Dr. Engelbrecht's continuing care for a TBI (with post-concussion syndrome) for several years. While symptoms related to my TBI are unresolved, Dr. Engelbrecht routinely listens to my concerns, is open-minded with my pursuit of alternative treatments for symptoms, and offers suggestions for coping with the injury. He promptly returns calls and emails between visits. His office is extremely organized and efficient, and the staff are kind and caring.

I was referred to Dr Engelbrecht by my primary care dr for treatment for migraines which I have suffered from for many years. Although I have been treated by top doctors, and have also sought relief from alternative treatments such as acupuncture, I find Dr Engelbrecht to be extremely informed as to new treatments, supportive of alternative treatments, and willing to work with me to find and fine tune a treatment path that best works for me.

I had a bad headache with vision loss and distorted vision. He diagnosed a migraine and told me it would get better, not to call his office until my symptoms changed. I later went to a different neurologist and was correctly diagnosed with having had a stroke. Would not recommend this doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Engelbrecht for approximately 9 months. He has always been attentive and never rushed our visit. Dr. Engelbrecht takes time to make sure all my questions are answered to my satisfaction. I have had migraines for over 30 years and we are starting to look at new medications that are now available. I would recommend Dr. Engelbrecht to my friends and family.

Dr. Engelbrecht always takes time to listen to me. He always discusses different medications is always willing to try new treatments. I’ve had migraine headache for over 30 years and he has been very patient and helpful and has found a medication that has actually dropped my headaches to one or two days a month instead of 15 to 18 a month! It has made quite a difference in my life. I would highly recommend him. I have seen his physicians assistant several times as well and she is excellent too.

He treated my wife like she was an inconvenience and he did want to be bothered with her. When I changed her appointment to get her seen earlier his statement to us was "what are you two doing here, you are going to have to accept the fact that she may never get better". I believe if I would have continued her care with him she would either be died or in a skilled nursing home.

Dr. Engelbrecht takes notes mostly nice I hand him my phone where I keep notes of my symptoms I’m having memory loss with speech problems when nervous especially I have PTSD Migraines, Major Depression just having money for copays to doctors can be hard. Dr. Engelbrecht does take his time doesn’t want you on cocktails of medicines because I don’t want that. He’s always personally called me to give me my results of tests on my brain I liked that because secondhand information like that can be traumatic In it’s self.
