I think you should get another opinion. Not sure 4 disc replacement surgery is needed after a minor accident.

The best back doctor in the country
Dr Gornet has done two lower back and one neck surgery on me. The results have been amazing. He is a great Christian man and fantastic doctor. If you listen to what he tells you, you will do great. I would and do recommend him to anyone i know who is having back problems.

Dr Gornet completely mis diagnosed my case. He performed a major surgery on my lower back and the root of the problem turned out to be in my neck. Be careful, he is not as good as he thinks he is. Also, he has a legal team that will have you signing papers left and right and he will completely screw you out of any insurance settlement you may be getting.

Dr Gornet and his staff at the clinic and surgery center are amazing. All of them went above and beyond to ensure I was educated and informed of everything about my injury and care. I am a RN with 20+ years medical experience and cannot express my gratitude for the care I received. I lived with chronic pain and spasms, headaches and fatigue for a year. I had been through the injections, pain medications, PT and things were only progressing. Dr Gornet and his staff have literally given me my quality of life back!!!! There are no words or point scale to measure my gratitude for what they have given me. I am thankful to have been placed in Dr Gornet's thorough and competent hands. God bless them all!!

Waits were incredibly long, place was over packed, Dr Gornet put me in a study that I find out later he was a part of financially and is why he recommends it to every one. After surgery, I end up with 2 surgeries following and Dr Gornet did a surgery in my back I was unaware of and he never told me he did after he destroyed my spine with his devises and then left me disabled for the rest of my life. I do NOT recommend this doctor, he's as dirty as they come, do your research. He may pray over you but believe me pray he didn't use BMP infuse in your body in places he shouldn't and see if you give him a 5 star rating.. He gets kickbacks from that too, start looking at your records to because mine were altered. Also look into the depression medications and devices he is part of putting on the market, he's only in this for his own financial benefit. He's scammed medicare and medicaid and gets royalties from the devises he put inside you so beware... If you see BMP Infuse, Maverick, ect.

Hands down Dr. Gornet and his side kick Nate are the Best people that show there experience and care for a person. I’m 43 I have no doctor and avoid them as much as possible I had 2 levels done was scared to death but they took the time to explain what was going on and what I had to have done. Hopefully I don’t have to have anything else done but if I did I would want him to do it!!

Has spine surgery at 5 diff levels and it was my second surgery but my first with Dr Gornet. Dr Gornet did an amazing job with me. He gave me a good understanding of what was going wrong with me and what procedure he recommended and how it would go. He knew i was hesitant because of the issues i had after the first surgery. So he basically walked me thru everything and told me what to expect after the surgery. During the surgery he had to improvise because things were a lil different when he opened my neck up. But he did a great job and the surgery center was the best. Dr gornet also prayed with me before the surgery which gave me an added sense of peace. I'm healing up well and i thank Dr gornet and his team. Great job. ??

No wonder this jerk is a workman’s comp doctor. Who else would see him besides someone forced to. Horrible bedside manner and doesn’t know his head from a hole in the wall. He needs an ego transplant before he has more obvious cosmetic surgery. Maybe if he wasn’t so busy judging people and actually took time to know them and find out what’s wrong with them he’d be a better doctor. Sick to death of workman’s comp doctors who get their degree from a Cracker Jack box.

I concider Dr. Gornet to be the finest spine surgion in this country. I am a resident of South East Mo. and have recomended countless people with back issues to see Dr. Gornet. Once while travling to Arizona we stopped for gas in New Mexico and the attendent was having severe back pain i gave him one of Dr Gornets cards and pleaded with him to fly or drive to St Louis. I no longer have any cards to give out but if i did i would in a heart beat give and recomend any one who needs help to see him

I would not hesitate recommending Dr. Gornet he fused my lower back. He is very clear communicating the diagnosis and options for treatment. Once surgery was selected he was very good about explaining what to expect. His staff and office are all a pleasure to work with. I am grateful to Dr. Gornet for his excellent care.

Dr. Gornet did my surgery in 2002. I still have not had another surgery and am doing well. Not perfect, still have some pain, but nowhere what it was. This physician will explain things so a non-medical person can understand. He takes his time and is thorough. I have recommended many people to see him and will continue!

He is a good surgeon, but very abrupt and does not like to be questioned. He did not tell me my surgery was experimental, and I had to find out on my own. He is extremely expensive, and literally charges the price of a house for the surgery (no joke, it was almost $200K), not covered by insurance. If you do not want to participate in his clinical research, he doesn't want to do the surgery. The surgery was helpful, but be prepared to wait 3hrs+ to see him, and not get reminder calls.

Dr Gornet was a life saver, quite literally. I'm so glad I had him do my back surgery. Fusion and disk replacement, gave me my life back. It was also great to deal with a Dr that wasn't intimidated or bought off, by the insurance company. I would not hesitate to recommend this Dr!
