No My 16 yo sophomore son is a year round baseballer (catcher). We were referred to a specific physical therapist with CHOP who has been great! Briefly had an eval with Dr Grady (MG). Got the PT order. Barely got an X-ray. Begged for an MRI. Dx: Ulnar neuritis (the PT gave the diagnosis to us). Now what? Wouldn’t know from MG - no follow up at all. At All. After a gazillion emails (PT showed us his sent box), the wonderful CHOP PT had us see a specific person at Rothman. Sixteen years ago CHOP saved this son’s life (cardiac). I couldn’t be more disappointed in the ortho/sports med dept.

Choosing a doctor to care for an injured child is of paramount importance to me. We could not have been any happier to find Dr. Grady - he took excellent care of both our daughter and son as they went through injuries related to sports in high school. I can not recommend him highly enough - he is a throw back to when doctors took a lot of time with their patients. He does a great job to connect with the kids and parents and spends time talking about what is going on, what the plan is and why!

Dr. Grady was not proactive in the care of my daughter's concussions. My daughter's physical therapist often gave us much better advice. It would be left up to me to follow up on such things as a neuropsych evaluation or getting her evaluated for vision therapy as Dr. Grady in no way actively managed her case. See another doctor in that practice.
