Dr. Matthew Grafenberg, MD

Dr. Grafenberg is very fast, accurate and and knows his field!This has been the BEST MD experience I have had in the3 years I have been in North Carolina. My orthopod is a close second, however. I have always waited several minutesto 'hours' to be seen for a scheduled in appointment, in this state! Sincere compliments to your office and Dr. G. for not wasting my time or his! I left the office feeling I am in good hands.The support staff is wonderful, kind and true patient advocates!Thank you all!

End of the day appointment and acted like it. Lack of decorum and failed to provide counsel on ways to address pain and unresolved issues. I scheduled a second opinion elsewhere and that physician diagnosed and treated a condition.

Dr. Graffenberg's willingness to attempt and accomplish the removal of my sinus papilloma without the straightening of my septum changed what would have been a difficult and painful recovery into an easy one. Within three days I was completely recovered. I am grateful to have had Dr. Graffenberg as my surgeon.

Short wait

My family member saw Dr. Grafenberg 5 times in the last 3 months. Sadly, the care he provided was poor. He was just interested in pushing antibiotic after antibiotic, he did not ever get to a root cause for the terrible nose pain, lack of appetite, and fatigue that we saw him 5 times for. Eventually, he just said "I don't know". He never even did a biopsy. I have always been pleased with healthcare in Pinehurst, but I would recommend staying away from this physician.

He rushes and does not seem to care! I don't trust any diagnosis from a Doctor like that! I would not recommend him at all!

I was diagnosed with central sleep apnea and Dr. Waldemar L. Riefkohl (same clinic) gave me a choice between oral surgery and an Adaptive Servo-Ventilation machine. Asked which he recommended, he grinned and said well, I am a surgeon, but it is your choice. I researched and discovered that the surgery has a very low chance of success in a central apnea situation and fortunately got Dr. Matthew Grafenberg next visit. He confirmed that I did not need the surgery and the ASV is working great!
