Could not diagnose. Rude.
Bad Experience. Dr. Hall performed a cystoscopy. It seemed normal until the end of the procedure Dr.Hall began moving the instrument back and forth like washing down the inside of a barrel. My wife confirmed it was a blur on the screen. That was Tuesday Morning, I was able to urinate, Dr.Hall said that my prostate looked better than expected. He sent me home with no determination.Tuesday OK , Wednesday stream weaker, Thursday significantly weaker. I went to Dr Hall’s office concerned my urethea seemed to be closing up. Dr. Hall did NOT examine me, he said “ I do not know what is wrong with you. You need to go across the street to the Hospital and check yourself in, I will call there and tell them to NOT LET YOU OUT of there until you are fixed. “ Then “ If you were my father I would tell you to go to the hospital. “ Dr Hall seemed out of his depth, rather than refer me to a more competent urologist, he told me to go to the Hospital, where they are going to tell me I need a urologist.

Miss an appointment, He drops you as a patient.
Supposedly I did not call to reschedule an appointment. He drops me as a patient. Wow!!! How about all the money that I have paid for all of the procedures that he has performed? I’m confused, No benefit of the doubt? How about a follow up call with patient? Disappointed with how he reached this decision. Thank God that he is not the only Urologist around. Anyway, Thank you and I hope that you don’t do this anyone else.

Worst Doctor Experience
My experience with Dr. Hall was the worst I have ever had. He came in to see me, after being 45 minutes late, and wouldn't let me get a word in. He dismissed every single concern of mine and BARELY let me explain my symptoms, as if he was in a rush to get me out. He continuously told me to call a psychiatrist and chalked up my symptoms to being from anxiety. I have never been so gaslighted by a doctor in my life and left in tears. I will NEVER go back to Dr. Hall again and encourage anybody looking for a good urologist to look ANYWHERE else.

Awful !!
I can see why this , if you want to call him a Doctor only gets a 4.5 Honestly it should be 0.1 What a Rude arrogant classless degrading Dr if you want to call him one. No care at all for his patients feelings, CAN NOT listen for even a second, knows everything, you are just a stupid fool in his opinion, Threw paperwork back at me while I was lying in excruciating pain in this disgusting dirty facility. Don’t waste your time.

I have full confidence in Dr Matthew Hall. I travel 45 minutes to his office. He has always given me the a timely explanation for my long and short term medical issues. A small office with friendly staff, not over booked having to wait more than 10 minutes. He has provided me excellent medical care in a friendly manor.

My father has been seeing Dr Hall for many years now. I attend most appointments with him and I have to say that Dr. Hall is a wonderful doctor who is knowledgeable, personable, and really takes the time to explain and discuss our many questions. Thank you Dr. Hall! My father has been improving steadily under your care.

Dr Hall is a terrible Doctor and an arrogant useless human being. He does not care about patients at all. There is no effort made to diagnose issues and he will not take the time to speak to the patient at all. He keeps me waiting sometimes up to 30 minutes and then when my appointment happens, he can't wait to get out the door. I strongly recommend finding any doctor other than him.

Excellent dr. He was very thorough during the initial exam and kept me well informed during the normally uncomfortable biopsy procedure which was done under a local. I think dr. Hall was upfront and honest about the prospects and possibilities but exuded a confident and positive approach Toward the future.

I recently had to find a doctor in my area to do my vasectomy. Dr. Matthew Hall was exceedingly sensitive to my needs as a patient and throughly knowledgeable on any questions I had while also alleviating any apprehensions I felt concerning the procedure. I was thoroughly relieved after my consultation and had absolutely no complications following the vasectomy.

A friend of mine recommended I see Dr Hall. She has worked with him for years and speaks very highly of him. He was so helpful and took care of my issue very effectively. He does speak fast which might make him seem too busy or arrogant as the other reviews suggested. But I found that if I asked questions and voiced my concerns he was very attentive and caring. I highly recommend him now too!

I would highly recommend Dr.Hall for any child or adult urology related issues. He was extremely patient with my 3 year old in the office and took care of the issue he had been experiencing right in the office. Great bed side manner:

Saw Dr Hall in the hospital as i had a kidney stone he was not only late, but extremely rude and arrogant and completely lacked empathy or understanding whatsoever. I use a urologist pracitce out of Morristown called Garden State Urology whom he refused to contact regarding the small stone. Dr Hall proceeded to state I need a stent immediately and I would die without one. However when I called my doctor they were baffled by his actions and for attempting to put a stent in for a tiny stone. Rude

I wish I had read these reviews before my husband was seen by this doctor. Dr. Hall may have impressive credentials but has zero bedside manner. He comes off being arrogant and not empathetic at all to a patient that was clearly in distress and pain. And if he had never had a kidney stone or some of the procedures he ordered, he should not tell his patient that he has a low tolerance to pain! Would NOT recommend.

Doctor Hall completely missed my issue during my first examination and brushed off my symptoms. Had I not pushed I would have never seen him again and never received a diagnosis. It takes a lot of pressing to get a straight answer out of him. He was also very impatient during my initial visit like he had other important things to be doing. Do your own homework and make sure you get yourself a good doctor. My new urologist is great and it's a night and day difference in care.

Wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. I have had a kidney stone for over a month and he told me there is nothing that you can do for it. He also couldn't understand why I was having so much pain and asked me why I was taking pain pills which he prescribed. He spends about 5 minutes with you and is rushing you out the door. He told me to come back in a year. I'm getting a second opinion to say the least and I will never go back to his office.

Dr. Hall is a FANTASTIC doctor! He has an excellent bedside manner. He spent time going over each medical issue and treatment option. He is professional, courteous and caring. I have recommended him to my friends whom all echo the same. It is nice to get high quality care without having to go into Manhattan!

I had been diagnosed at the EE with a kidney stone a few days earlier ( I had never had a kidney stone before). The Newton Hospital ER recommended Dr.Hall. It wS easy to make an appointment. His staff is very nice and accommodating. Dr.Hall however has a terrible bed side manner. He is arrogant ,sarcastic and uncompassioonate. The pain I was experiencing was beyond anything I had known. He told me to tough it out . Dr.Hall has never has a kidney stone appearantly . He rude and tedious.
