Denied service due to religious request
At my pre-op appointment where x-rays were taken, Dr. Johnson never even met me or walked into my room to explain any part of the procedure to me. I called the day before my appointment to make sure I would be able to keep my extracted teeth per my religious requirements and was told all I would need to do is inform the staff. Today when I was ready to begin my procedure I stopped him for a second before he walked out of the room to tell him I needed my teeth returned. He told me he couldn't due to the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, which I informed him did allow me to receive my teeth and I was happy to show the guidelines to him on the CDC website if he needed confirmation. He got visibly angry and asked who told me this. I asked if I could talk to my family and I did not see the Dr. again after that. Before I could make a decision on whether or not to even continue with the procedure, his staff informed me and confirmed explicitly when we refused service due to religious belief
