Dr. Matthew Kiok, MD

Dr Kiok accused me of faking a wrist injury and put me through the wringer because of his disbelief. I later saw a hand specialist who confirmed I had a torn tendon and I needed surgery.

I had an unfortunate workman’s comp issue that resulted in a severe case of Rhabdomyolysis. An issue that not too many doctors are familiar with. My case was not due to underlying health issues or due to anything that I did to cause Rhabdomyolysis. It was due to hazing conducted by a mentally disturbed coworker who believes he has the alter ego of a drunken fraternity boy. His actions caused not only me to almost lose my life, but a few injured others as well, stalling my claim by lies to protect himself. After a full year of claim denials and appointments with other specialists I was given Dr. Kiok to evaluate me. Dr. Kiok was an investigator himself, asking relevant questions about the injury so that he could make a fair assessment. Dr. Kiok was THE ONLY doctor to ask me what happened in detail. He did not assume ANYTHING but asked me EVERYTHING even if it was uncomfortable. I left his office feeling that no matter what happened I finally told someone the truth behind what really took place and not a lie that was told to others by this frat boy that has already been in the news for killing someone. Having told the real events that took place that day was therapeutic in its on way. I spent a month in the hospital and nearly a year recovering. That alone is physically damaging, but to be victimized by workman’s comp over and over is psychologically damaging. In the end, it was Dr. Kiok who listened to the truth, used his medical expertise to evaluate my traumatic experience, and gave his final opinion on what caused my near-death incident. From there it was no denying anymore that what happened to me was a result of someone else’s negligence. Dr. Kiok is professional, yet fair. I recommend him for all relevant medical needs. He is what a real doctor in 2024 used to be in the 1950’s. FOCUSED on YOU.

Dr. Kiok is awesome. His practice is new from what I know....but he is so friendly and makes you feel at ease. He explained his treatment plan to me in terms I can understand and made sure all my concerns were addressed. He gets A+ from me. God Bless Dr. Kiok!!

I don’t normally have the best experience with seeing docs but was pleased with this doctor. I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them without rushing. He seems to know his stuff. Really cool and easygoing.

I had a horrible work injury that the workermans comp insurance kept trying to deny, but Dr. Kiok fought for my right to get treatment and never gave up on my case, even when all the other doctors and lawyer did! I don't know what I would've done without him! He truly cares about his patients and it shows

I do not recommend this doctor. He is incredibly rude and condescending. I'm surprised that he works at Kaiser since Kaiser typically has a positive reputation. He definitely brings down the quality of Kaiser.
