Dr. Larsen is really good at connecting and talking with our child.

Our experience with Dr. Matt Larsen and Ascend was the worst we could ever possibly imagine. The PA noted “patient is markedly ill.” Dr. Larsen significantly changed our son's course of treatment and, after a two week followup, didn’t reschedule our son for over two LONG months. No monitoring either. Our bipolar son explicitly told Dr. Larsen he didn’t like how long it took to get back in to see him. Our son’s condition seriously declined. We desperately tried, with our son’s permission, to reach Dr. Larsen for an appointment or phone call only to have receptionists/gatekeepers screen out our urgent pleas. No-one called us back. Unfortunately, our beloved son took his own life before the two month appointment came. We believe that the lack of monitoring and patient contact were significant factors in our son’s death. We truly hope that Dr. Larsen and the receptionists that he has trained are willing to reflect on their actions and consequences so that another child might live.

We received excellent care from Dr. Larsen. We feel very happy with our sons treatment plan. The staff took great care of us.

Staff are really polite and very kind and friendly. There always right on top of things. Wating area is very nice and clean. Which is nice and comforting Evan though you don’t have to wait long. And the doctors listen and genuinely care about their patients.

I brought my son, Logan, to see Dr. Larsen recently, and he was great! He took the time to get to know my son and try to help him in the best possible manner. His staff are all so friendly and helpful. We’re glad we made the switch to Ascend Mental Health Center!

After working with several different mental health providers I can truly appreciate how well Dr Larsen connects and communicates with my children. He talks to them and looks at them! He doesn’t instantly turn to me and ask me what I think they need, he talks to THEM. The questions he asks and the way he relates to my kids gives them an instant feeling that they can trust him and confide in him with ease. He is always open to new ideas and avenues of treatment and won’t give up on trying to find the perfect solution for my kids, no matter how long it takes. His brilliance in childhood and adolescent mental health is amazing and our area is so incredibly blessed to have his expertise, friendly and silly personality and his amazing staff available to us all. I recommend his office to everyone I know that may have some of the similar struggles that my family faces. My family is so grateful to have Ascend Mental Health as an option for our mental Heath needs.

Ascend Mental Health has been such a blessing in my life. Their new office is clean and comfortable. The Receptionist is a gem. And I can tell she really keeps that office on task, as well as the patient. I was wowed that she called me the day before my appt since I made 3 Months prior and if she hadn't called then I would have missed my appt. Both Dr's are fantastic and really listen to you, and genuinely want to help you to balance everything out. Check them out! I promise you won't be disappointed. :)

The office staff was helpful in verifying insurance and getting us a convenient appointment. The PA we saw was knowledgeable and professional. The appointment time was ample to address our needs. Very happy with care and will continue to receive treatment here.

I see Kade Anderson but he is not listed on here yet. Kade is wonderful and so is the whole staff. They are very professional and friendly.

Dr Larsen is very helpful and relatable for teens. He makes talking easy and fun. His staff is helpful and caring.
