Surgical skills 10/10; office communication 0/10
During the dental implant procedure Dr. Lorson was very professional and explained what was happening at every step. HOWEVER, if you are in DHA for dentistry and orthodontics and think that seeing a peridontist also at DHA will allow the providers to communicate more effectively about your care, you are sorely mistaken. Dr. Lorson said the one to take care of my temporary implants would be my DHA orthodontist. My orthodontist said it would be Dr. Lorson. In the end, by the time of the procedure I didn't have a plan for temporary implants, though Dr. Lorson said "we can get you temporary implants in 15 minutes, it's no problem [to proceed with the procedure]". Now I have left the procedure with gaps in my teeth, and 2 weeks and an additional $400 before my dentist can provide an essix retainer. After the procedure, everyone at the office seems to think it's obvious that the dentist is the one to take care of this, but no one tried to communicate about this beforehand.

Dr Lorson and staff are magicians!
I’ve been seeing Dr Lorson for a few years now for some major dental work. When I tell you I have high anxiety and panic when I even think about going to the dentist It’s an understatement But Dr Lorson and his absolutely amazing staff were magicians! They have been so patient, understanding, and accommodating that I can walk in there with no concern, worry, or fear. I still have those issues at other dental offices—but not with Dr Lorson. He truly is the best! Put your trust in him—you will be so relieved and happy you did!

I saw Dr. Lorson many years ago for a correction due to an infection that I got related to my health and another doctor's negligence who rushed implants when I was a child, I had paid for a correction but the damage was already done by the old doctor. My new dentist referred me to Dr. L for help to fix everything. My gums had receded very far and upper jaw bone had deteriorated and due to genetics I didn't have much to work with. I needed 2 major surgeries to correct it. During this time I was so upset because I had spent thousands and years just trying to get an "okay" smile. Instead he offered to spend a little extra to do some additional work on his own time that did not take long but that he knew would give me the smile closer to my dreams not just "okay". They were hard surgeries due to my genetics BUT he worked with my doctors and it ended up both going well and with a smile just like he promised. I smiled bigger and was so happy. He has a very good heart.
