I happened upon Dr. McClanahan when I needed a new GP back when that was his gig and I've followed him to his private practice. To experience his approach as a GP was a game changer for me. He's still on my practitioner team because he helps tie everything together in a collaborative way. I have healed physically and grown personally as a result of my visits with Dr. McClanahan. When you find someone who is truly on your team, it makes a huge difference.

Dr. McClanahan is a kind, caring, patient physician with the skills and intellect to properly address any issues you may dealing with. I have been going to him for a couple of months now and I knew the moment I met him he was gifted and we were lucky to have someone of his caliber in Chattanooga. I have referred friends and family and they are very pleased with Dr. McClanahan's care and compassion. I highly question the one or two negative reviews of this doctor because he truly is a miracle worker. Anyone looking for a highly effective physician who thinks outside the box and spends the necessary time and resources into finding out how to make your life better, you have found him.

I had a series of pain syndromes that started quite suddenly. I was referred to Dr. McClanahan after seeing over 18 different practitioners. I had more than 5 different diagnoses when I entered his office. It only took a few months of seeing Dr. Matt to achieve a dramatic turnaround in symptoms. He is compassionate and insightful. The principles of his practice are cutting edge and evidence based. I am grateful for the life I’ve gotten back.

I chose Center for Integrated Medicine because of the holistic approach to medicine it boasts. Dr. McClanahan's practice to medicine has always been exactly what I needed for the diagnosis. He is insightful, expressive, encouraging, detailed and kind just to name a few traits he exhibits. Thanks to Dr. McClanahan I have learned about self care and mind body balance in my life which has been a valuable part of my goal to have a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. McClanahan is an excellent physician. He has been my primary care doctor for over a year and has been thorough and patient each time I've seen him! Many other care providers push patients through as quickly as possible in order to maximize billing, but Dr. McClanahan makes sure to give each patient the time they need (and schedules appropriately so that other patients are not kept waiting as a result). I refer folks to him regularly and cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. McClanahan helped me to achieve my goal to become healthier. After about 4 years under his guidance, I was able to get my blood sugar, weight and blood pressure under control. He was always supportive of my plans for my health care. Now I am totally free from medications and feeling more energetic and healthy than I have for many years.

Dr, McClanahan approaches care of his patients with a no nonsense holistic approach to care and healing. In my experience he is committed to a mind body wellness approach to medicine and takes sufficient time with his patients to more fully appreciate them and their medical needs. He simply is one of the best Primary Care Physicians I have had .

Dr. McClanahan's negligence resulted in my needing more serious surgeries (gallbladder removal; hysterectomy - my prolapse reached stage 4 before he believed my self reported symptoms were real; kidney stones removal - which required two surgeries because tissue had grown around them while he insisted my problem was that I was obsessed with IMAGINARY illnesses) than I would have if he had been diligent and responsible in investigating the very REAL "current tissue damage" sources of my pain.

Dr.M did not listen to me... I was in and out of his office every few weeks for 6 months, and he told me everything was in my head... I grew sicker and sicker until I ended up in the hospital. He did not do the blood work that eventually diagnosed me until my husband came with me to an appointment and demanded it. Once diagnosed, he told me I was "screwed" as far as life insurance goes. Terrible bed side manner, does not listen!!!

Dr. McClanahan spends more time with his patients than most doctors. He does not rush you. He answers all questions and lets you say what you feel and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions. He is not one to just dole out medicines if there is a more natural way to help your healing. His staff is pleasant and helpful. Very easy to get an appointment if you are sick. I recommend him if you are interested in real healing. Easy access with free parking.
