Dr. Matthew O'Rourke, MD

First: we all have bad days and I'm certain Dr. O'Rourke is a fine doctor. However, my experience was not.He displayed good bedside manner at first, but ignored medically relevant history and provided a diagnosis inconsistent with the symptoms provided. While in this case it was not an immediate life-threatening situation, I do not feel that it is medically or ethically responsible for him to ignore evidence to maintain his diagnosis that doesn't fit. When speaking to Dr. O'Rourke, he would not make eye contact and could not walk me through his process to the diagnosis he provided in a confirming or adequate way. I left without feeling any trust for him and instead felt ignored.Additionally, he claimed that equipment was not available for testing that ended up being present at the facility. Physicians should be aware of their facility's capabilities instead of recommending people to go to another facility.This experience felt like medical gaslighting.
