Too bad there’s no way to have no stars
Stood in the doorway, never did an exam, no stethoscope used to listen to breathing or bowel sounds, not palpation of abdomen but documented breath sounds clear, abdomen soft, no rebound, etc.I reported this to Piedmont. I suggest you read his documentation of your “ exam”. You might be surprised.

Horrible doctor - arrogant - doesn't listen, didn't test or care. My husband suffered for over a year and died thanks to his misdiagnosis.

Horrible experience
Went in for one concern but was pushed into his "gold standard" procedure--and, NOT less invasive options. Also, found physicians notes/ prescription that did not match reality. Strongly suggest you get a second opinion.

I see many doctors. This visit was pathetic. 1) In the outside hallway, they insisted that I wear a mask. I usually wear a face shield, which has been find with all my other doctors. I do so because I have bronchiolitis, and can barely breath with a mask. My pulse oxygen level drops to 92. Not dangerous, but very unpleasant. 2) Having an enlarged prostate, I asked the mask man where was the nearest bathroom. He pointed it out. Then, as soon as I got into the waiting room, I was asked for a urine sample. 3) I brought with me my medical history, and a history of my problem – ED. He looked at none of it. 4) Though I was a new patient, he spent a total of 5 minutes with me, including checking out my prostate. He ran down a mental checklist of things I’ve used before. I had to follow him down the hallway asking more questions. I had tried his treatment before, but had a problem with it. He said come back after I get the Rx, and he would explain how to use it then. Sort of like

Terrible Experience and still paying for it! Surgery was not successful and repairs to fix it made it worse. I had to go to a different doctor for a 3rd surgery to repair. Still getting bills for a botched surgery. Don't make the mistake I did by choosing this doctor for your surgery!

My fiancé saw Dr. Sand on multiple occasions and he received excellent care each time. His visits concerned everything from kidney stones to having a stent installed. Dr. Sand listened, explained, and gave his best estimate of what to expect. Although he is very busy, he took extra time whenever a problem or unexpected complications arose.

I have been a patient of Dr Sand for several years and have found him to be a talented and capable physician. He was always available for me and supported me through a difficult and challenging situation. I appreciate his honest and candid opinion and approach to treatment. I highly recommend Dr Sand.

I met Dr. Sand for the first time this morning. He was highly recommended to me by two of my doctors and I immediately saw why. He explained what my PSA test results meant and explained what the next step would be. Not looking forward to a biopsy but he did make it easier for me the way he explained everything to me.

Had a vasectomy performed by Dr. Sand that went horribly wrong! I received an infection after my vasectomy that looked like I had a 3rd testicle the size of a baseball. To make things worse I received a ton of hospital bills because of the infection that I am still paying on well over a year later. Do NOT get a vasectomy here!!!

I'm sorry to say the visit with Dr. Sand was unsatisfactory in almost every way. His manner is unacceptably rude and condescending and he showed great annoyance when I asked him to explain the reasoning behind his recommendations. He absolutely refused to consider the concurrent and proximate abnormal varicoceles or the possibly obstructional cyst found in my ultrasound, instead insisting the testicular pain might be cause by diet or anxiety.

Kimberly, the ladies who tried to make an appointment for me could not have been more rude. She told me that hospital didn't have a website, and pretty much called me an idiot on the phone. Seems like a great physician, but if this is how they treat their customers I will never go see them.

Dr. Sand has NO bedside manner at all. He refuses to listen to patients and assumes diagnoses based on a person's appearance rather than their symptoms. He doesn't examine, he just starts prescribing. I will not return to this doc, nor can I recommend him.

My one visit and one procedure with Dr. Sand showed him to be a skilled and considerate physician. I especially appreciated how he shifted his schedule around to fit in an urgent-seeming check. I'd definitely return to Dr. Sand if needed.

Dr. Sand did not listen to my concerns of infection being a transplant recipient this of course was of serious concern. After my procedure I had a very bad UTI requiring me to be taken to Piedmont ER. The ER Doctor was very understanding and contacted my transplant team and seemed to be an excellent Doctor.
