We chose him based on reviews from his patients, and were exceptionally happy that we did. He is very easy to talk to, and an excellent listener. It's hard to say how much active, empathetic listening helps you feel like you've been able to tell the story about your situation, which is always uniquely yours. He took the time to discuss some important studies with me, and treats you like another human being - not someone who has come into the office as a "sick person". I've never wanted any sort of urological tests in the past, to avoid complications, but wound up telling him to order whatever tests he thought necessary. There is one option for the (hopefully transient) condition that I had, going forward, that I was extraordinarily concerned about having as an option. I felt totally comfortable asking him about this option, and so reassured that this was something he could do for me if it turned out to be necessary. Can't say enough good things about him as a doctor, and a person too.

I had double hernia surgery and than had urinary retention. He not only addressed the issue with care and understanding he explained to me all along the way. He has a gentle way about him and has great bedside manner. I had a Turp surgery. It was almost totally painless and solved my probelem for the next 20 years. I would highly recommend him, no need to travel to Boston for the best. Another person in his office is Karen a PA provided great care as well as the entire office.

Dr. Stanizzi is a wonderful doctor! He may have saved my life by deciding to do an emergency procedure so I didn’t get sepsis. He knows how to explain things, has a good sense of humor, is highly intelligent, and looks you straight in the eye when shaking your hand. Highly recommend him!!

Dr Stanizzi is the most understanding Doctor I have ever met. I never felt alone in this journey as he kept me informed on everything he was doing. He gave me all the options even when he knew what option he wanted me to choose and offered to send me anywhere for a second opinion if that would make me feel better.

Does not work well with other Urgent care facilities. They claim they don't info unless they request it. I usually ask that Dr St and my PCP get the results of all tests. I call the office with a specific problem and I have to go through his nurse. He never returns a call even when I am told he will. I am still waiting for a call from Monday and this Wed. evening. I refuse to chase a Dr supposedly of his character. I have done it 3 or 4 times and get the same run around.
