Dr Weiss cut me from my sternum to my navel just to remove 1adrenal gland! I now walk around with a massive hernia due to his great incision. Hate him!

Dr Matthew Weiss is an extraordinary surgeon and doctor and I am eternally grateful to have found him after my pancreatic cancer diagnosis 3 years ago. I've found him to be nothing short of brilliant, confident, kind and compassionate - with an impressive handle on cutting edge research. I feel that he sees me as a whole person with all of the fears and anxieties that come with this overwhelming diagnosis - listening, patiently answering every question, sensitive - all in. I trust him literally with my life and honestly believe that he's a huge part of the reason I'm here today...and will be here for years to come. NP Tiffany is wonderful in so many ways and his team is top notch. Simply the best ~

I underwent Whipple surgery for pancreatic cancer in June, 2021. Dr. Weiss was not only incredibly competent but he was personable and compassionate. He phoned my daughter frequently to update her as the pandemic was ongoing. He and my “team” were concerned about the impact of the pandemic on my well-being and opted to begin chemotherapy prior to the surgery so I would not be in the hospital at the height of the Covid crisis. I am incredibly grateful.

Dr. Weiss was a godsend to us. After being told by several surgeons at different hospitals that my tumor resection was not possible, Dr. Weiss (describing himself as 'aggressive, but not foolish') decided to attempt the surgery. It was completely successful, and I am here today in large part because of his willingness to attempt what others would not.

When my gastroenterologist said he is the surgeon they would, it was clear he was top notch. Dr. Weiss was business-like yet friendly, and informative. When he reviewed the risks of the surgery, citing the most important as the rare cutting the wrong duct, then said in a matter of fact way, which came across as a source of comfort and not as a brag, that he was one of the surgeons who repaired those rare events, I knew he was the one. My recovery has been painless & amazingly fast.

I was very impressed with his explanations and honesty about my liver cancer. He explained everything to our family in a manner that gave us hope instead of doom and gloom. He's a caring person.
