Great doctor!!!!
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Wichman. I am a new patient and saw him the beginning of November. He was able to relieve the pain that I was having in my right knee. He provided all the information that I needed for the treatment that I had. We also discussed a plan of action if the treatment I had did not last. He treats you like a person and not just a number. He took the time to make sure I understood everything and answered all my questions. It’s hard to find a good, educated doctor that takes great care of their patients. I know I found a great doctor in Dr. Wichman.

My son tore his ACL during a basketball game this past January. Dr. Wichman was truly amazing with Mike and not only went into great detail about what our options were but also reassured us that he would be back to play this next fall for his senior year. We have had excellent care during a scary pandemic where only one parent could accompany and aside from doing excellent ACL and meniscus repair my son is on the road to recovery. Excellent sports PT and staff that really showed a lot of compassion and patience. Appreciate the professionalism and the care and would highly recommend Dr. Wichman to anyone in need of orthopedic surgery.

After breaking my tibia just below my knee from slipping on ice, I was extremely pleased with Dr. Wichman's treatment and care. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done and followed through. Although my recovery took quite a while, he referred me to a terrific PT that got me back on my feet much sooner than I thought possible. There is no doubt that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Wichman to others. If a need arises, I would certainly return to his care.

I got an infection from my having a total hip replacement done. This doctor refused to have any more test done under the facia to see if there was a bigger issue going on. I had a wound VAC on 3+ months when you usually have them on for 2-3 weeks. The reason why I finally got my wound VAC taken off I because I because severely sepsis during one of my wound care treatments. I had a total of 9 infections: 2 Staph, 1, rare case of MRSA, pseudomonas, and another 5 with 13-16 letter words. His nice guy personality demeanor completely changed once I became sick, as if it were my fault? It’s common that patients get infections, especially if you’re in the hospital for certain a length of time. What I don’t understand, and still never may is why he never wanted to treat the infection? Thank god I had a different orthopedic doctor that picked up my case when I became sepsis, or I wouldn’t be here today.

Dr. Wickman is an extremely arrogant doctor and seems always to be in a rush to get you out the door. I went to see him about my right hip and complained of SI joint pain. He said to me my patients usually know what their problem is so if you feel it's your SI joint then let's just get a shot. I don't even have to put you on the table. He refused to comment on the fact that one leg felt longer than the other. I received a shot in my SI joint that did not work for more than a week and then another in my hip which did not last for more than a week. Dr. one ordered an MRI but went through Dr. Whitman. Dr. workman said an MRI would show him no more information. He refused the MRI. I went on my search to find out what was wrong with me because Dr. Whitman was unwilling to take the time to look. Long story short eight months later an MRI was ordered by another doctor and all this time it was a bad hip that needs to be replaced As far as I'm concerned He took eight months of my life!

I had been losing muscle mass around my right shoulder for about a year when I first was introduced to Dr. Wichman. He reviewed my x-rays and MRIs and suggested the bone spur and arthritis around my collar bone where it intersected the shoulder was what was giving me pain and interrupting my sleep. First I worked with an Occupational Therapist to rebuild muscle mass prior to surgery. Surgery was scheduled for March, 2018 with follow up reviews. 100% success is pleasant to report. Thank You.

Dr. Matthew Wichman was extremely professional. While he was a bit behind in clinic, he spent all the time with me that I needed. He really seemed to care about getting me back on the basketball court. I have a cartilage problem in my knee and he explained my options. We elected to inject stem cells from my pelvis in the office. I have done so well, better than I expected. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wichman!!!

I went to Dr. Matthew Wichman for a total hip replacement. The hip replacement not was a great success but I appreciated his care and concern before and after the surgery. He made sure my post operative pain was managed and followed up with me to ensure a good outcome. I would recommend him without reservation. A fine physician.

Dr. Matthew Wichman, replaced both my hips one in October 2016 and the other November 2016. The whole experience from start to finish went incredibly smooth. While I was in surgery they kept my wife informed as to how it was going. Dr. Wichman was very informative, you can ask him any questions, he will take the time To answer your questions. His staff are great people to work with as well. I cannot say enough about Dr. Wichman, both hips went very well, he did a great job on them.

Dr Wichman was the second surgeon I saw for my failing hip. Diagnosis of first dr. was confirmed but I instantly felt that Dr. Wichman's main focus was my comfort before and after the hip replacement, instead of being just another number. Surgery went very smoothly and I've not had a second of pain since. It's just been 3 months and I'm 99% back to normal. I had struggled with the pain for over 2 years and allowed it to severely impact my life.

Dr. Wichman was so kind. I was so upset when I tore my ACL. He helped me understand the injury and that he could help get me back to karate. Surgery went great. My family loved his bedside manner. I am so thankful that my friend gave me his name. He just cleared me to go back and finish my black-belt training. Thanks Dr. Wichman!

Dr. Wickman and his staff were wonderful! I recently needed a hip replacement and received the most excellent care from Dr. Wickman and his staff. From the initial diagnosis, thru surgery, and post-op care, I was treated with the utmost respect and care. Dr. Wickman listened to all my concerns, treated/fixed my problem, and I have him to thank for being able to function normally and pain-free again. I would highly recommend him as a Orthopedic Physician/Surgeon to anyone!!
