Dr. Matthew Wollenschlaeger, MD

I am very picky about doctors (I don't like a lot of them!). Dr. Wollenschlaeger spends a lot of time listening to you. He was my OB and is currently my GYN. I highly recommend him. I can't believe he stayed after my annual appointment to chat a little about CrossFit. I can't believe he even remembers my 'sport' when he only sees me for appointments once a year. I hope he doesn't get burnt-out from going above and beyond on providing the best care possible. This is one of the best doctors!

Dr. Wollenschlaeger is hands-down one of the most respectful, understanding and skilled doctors that I have ever met. I am so grateful for the procedure that he performed on me, it changed my life. He listens, he doesn't judge and he has great bedside manner.The nurses and women in the office are equally amazing. Although I had my procedure a couple years ago, I still feel compelled to leave reviews so other women know that they will be heard and understood with Dr. W.

TLDR: EDS/Chronic illness friendly, Dr respect body autonomy. He explained everything thoroughly, he stopped me mid sterilization spiel & told me that I didn’t need to convince him and that he would perform this procedure on me yesterday. He researched the coding needed for a partial hysterectomy for a 25-year-old. I ended up deciding on a bisalp instead. I like his clean clinic andstaff were very kind, the receptionist on Alexandria Blvd is amazing.I was able to get my US results on the patient portal and print them out easily. Nurses called me back same day every single time. My only complaint is for my Pap smear no one told me he was on call and I had another dr walk in after I waited 90ish minutes to see him. I knew it was a good practice but I honestly was a little skeptical about all of the 5 star reviews for Dr. W at first and thought it had to be just people at the office rating him because who has this many reviews that are all 5 star. I was so wrong. Dr. W gets 10/5 stars.
