Dr. Maureen Cho, MD

She is the first doctor who believed what I said from the very first conversation I had with her. She has amazing bedside manner and is super kind and compassionate. She is very thorough and detailed in her explanations. She made me feel heard and seen in a way I have never experienced with any Kaiser doctor before. After my hysterectomy & endometriosis excision surgery she spoke with my husband and he too was extremely impressed with how kind and supportive she was. I can’t recommend her enough.

Dr. Cho is a great doctor! I've been dealing with a long term, difficult to identify pain issue and have been bounced from department from department trying to get a diagnoses and treatment plan. I was finally referred to Dr. Cho who always made sure to assure me that my pain is real, that I do not just have to "deal with this forever," and works endlessly to find the source of my pain and the right treatment plan. Cannot recommend Dr. Cho enough.

I went to see Dr. Cho for a very obvious lump in my breast. She felt it and said “it’s likely benign.” I asked for a mammogram given the family history of cancer and she denied me because, and I quote, “I was too young at 35 and insurance wouldn’t approve me.” I saw her 3 weeks later with a larger lump and was deferred to the breast surgeon AND NOT A MAMMOGRAM. 5 months later I was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma, triple negative. With an additional lump in my armpit and 3 infected lymph nodes. I spent the following months in chemotherapy, surgery (twice), and radiation all because “I was too young for a mammogram.” I DO NOT recommend Dr. Cho. I literally would have died had the breast surgeon not taken me seriously when I mentioned the second lump.

Nothing but good things to say. She’s kind, patient and very understanding. It’s very clear this is her passion. Highly recommend.
