Dr. Max Caudill, MD

First time meeting Dr Caudill, he took a lot of time getting to know me and reviewed the medical history that I brought with me. Asked all of the appropriate medical questions and scheduled my colonoscopy. The procedure went well from the time I arrived at Franklin Surgical Center until the procedure was over. Dr Caudill met with me before and after, shared results and provided the post care as well and copy of medical records. I had a followup procedure 3 years later and it was the same excellent care as the first one. My husband changed doctors and is now a patient of Dr Caudill’s. I highly recommend Dr Caudill without reservation.

Dr. Max Caudill, MD is a gastroenterologist in Franklin, TN has been my Gastroenterologist for over 25 years. He is always friendly and shows concern for his patients.

I was referred to Dr. Caudill by my PCP for a colonoscopy. Although it was a routine procedure, it was my first and I was nervous. Dr. Caudill had wonderful bedside manner. He was patient and reassuring. I felt I was in great hands and I was right. The procedure went smoothly and I was back to normal activities the same day. I highly recommend Dr. Caudill.

Frustrating. My Primary doc made an appointment for me - no one asked when would be convenient for me, just told me the time- then after hearing nothing from Dr. Caudill's office I called them. I believed I had a colonoscopy in a few days and wanted instructions, prescriptions, etc. Was told then that my appointment was for a consultation, not a procedure, which would be scheduled a month later. He may be a great doctor, but patients deserve better communication from the front office than this. Our time is valuable too.

I came to Dr. Caudill with severe symptoms of a chronic condition. When he called w/negative test results - including my prev. diagnosis - his plan was to "sideline" himself while I got my depression, anxiety, & PTSD "under control." The 1st issue is that he thought himself qualified to diagnose me with PTSD after asking 2 questions about my abuse history. I also told him during our session that my mental health is the best it’s been in a while & assured him my symptoms aren’t stress related. The 2nd issue is that he dismissed my concerns when 2 tests came back negative & decided to wait out the symptoms that have been hindering my everyday activities & schoolwork for 2 months. I was hoping he’d be a good doctor with slightly impersonal bedside manner, but instead he gave up, pinned my symptoms on my mental health, & overstepped several personal & professional boundaries by speaking beyond his qualifications. I’m back to square one trying to find a doctor who actually will believe me.

Dr. Caudill and his staff saved my life. I had severe abdominal pain that would occur every few weeks. Dr. Caudill ordered many tests, and a HIDA Scan found that my gallbladder was not functioning normally. This was even though I had no gallstones. Dr. Caudill ordered a surgical consult. Debbie in Dr. Caudill's office got me an appointment with a surgeon for the next day. The surgeon said, "I'm taking your gallbladder out tomorrow, and I am considering it an emergency surgery. He removed my gallbladder even though I had a sever case of shingles all across my right upper abdomen, side, and back. I am grateful for the surgeon Dr. Dustin Smith, for Dr. Caudill, Debbie, and for all of their staff. They absolutely saved my life.

Dr. Caudill has been my doctor for 13 years. He is an excellent doctor. His team is very good too.

Perfect ... trustworthy honest kind

Dr. Caudill is simply amazing. You will never find a doctor that is as attentive to your well being. I have many friends that have been treated by him and everyone is thrilled with the care he has for his patient. Amazing would sum it up for me. As a result of his care, I am in good health and have many more years to live and enjoy my life with my wife. I will be forever grateful for the care he has given me.

I was referred to Dr. Caudill from my primary care doctor. My initial visit was disappointing and left much to be desired. After waiting over an hour after my appointment time Dr. Caudill approached me and spoke to me with no bedside manner, was extremely condescending/ judgmental and kept asking the same questions showing his lack of active listening. Eventually I needed to undergo a colonoscopy at the Franklin surgery center where he is a partner. The procedure itself went smoothly the reason this was the worst medical experience I have encountered was Dr. Caudill's lack of empathy, condescending tone, and overall no information. If a doctor cant figure out an issue with a patient that is understandable but it is abhorrent to make that patient feel crazy or at fault for the symptoms they came to you to fix. If I could give less than 1 star I would, my experience was a disappointment to the medical community. I would not recommend Dr. Caudill to anyone.

Dr Max saved my husband's life from a fast growing cancer. We are VERY grateful!

Dr. Caudill is a rare find. He takes the time to really ask questions and figure out what's wrong. He's not rushed, he's kind, and he knows his stuff. I trust him.

I love how Dr Caudill takes the time with you and has real concerns about your health. Easy to talk with. Knows what he’s talking about and what he’s doing.

Dr. Caudill is excellent. He takes plenty of time with patients and explains things thoroughly. I just had my second procedure with him yesterday at the Franklin Surgery Center. The center is nice and all staff members were fabulous.

Dr. Caudill is a excellent physician. I arrived at the emergency room choking on steak. He immediately responded, saving my life.

My second colonoscopy. Quite a change from the first! Very attentive staff (Emily and Wendy were great). Even the stuff I had to drink tasted great! Definitely a change from the first session. From start to finish, Dr. Caudill was very upbeat and professional. My only suggestion would be to include a Gas-X tablet in your pocket for afterwards. That will make the ride home much more comfortable for everyone. :) A staff nurse calls several days later to follow-up with you, too.
