Dr. Wohlauer has the most effective combination of patient-facing soft skills, surgical strategy, and surgical skills that I have experienced in my long history of surgical procedures. I would not have predicted such a positive outcome from vascular surgery in Denver, and had planned to go to a larger center for care. Dr. Max saved both my legs, and has extended my life. I am planning multiple return visits for needed work in the future.

Dr. Wohlauer performed surgery on my mom's aortic dissection. Although the emergency did not afford us time to research care options, we were incredibly blessed that she made it to Froedtert and that he was on call at the time of her accident. In the face of this and other serious injuries - broken back, multiple arm & rib fractures, Dr. Wohlauer saved her life. His kind, calm manner and ease of explaining in layman's terms brought us clarity. We are ever grateful for his genius and loving care.
