Every 6 months
Professional, knowledgeable and caring! Being my moms caregiver for 6 years now, Dr Kwaku and his team (staff) , speak kindly with her, about upcoming appointments , test results, progress, procedures and any concerns about her endocrinology health treatments. He has made her visits thorough, caring, and in a timely manner. Sharing knowledgeable results with her (91) and speaking with me so that I also understand makes Dr Kwaku a very good health provider.

I would not recommend him.
I got there after an hour and a half drive and waiting several months to get in. I was told by his PA who by the way was very sweet and helpful, that he’d reviewed my chart from my GP and that he could not help me. If that was the case he could’ve told me that over the phone without charging me an arm snd a leg. When he came in he again read me chart notes, didn’t look at me didn’t touch me, told me he couldn’t help me and walked out. It took 5 minutes. I couldn’t understand his dialect and he was very abrupt. It was not worth the time or the money to be embarrassed.

Outstanding endocrinologist
This was a follow-up visit. Dr. Kwaku has been managing my thyroid for a number of years and I could not be happier with him. After I had to have my thyroid removed, he was able to get my levels back within normal range and has kept them there. He explains everything clearly and is wonderful to deal with.

Worst doctor I've ever delt with
He came in the room being rude and condescending. He was gripping about a holiday doesn't mean not coming back. I told him I had called and asked if I needed a bone density and to see him after my last treatment for osteoporosis. I was told by staff I didn't need a new bone density so no need to see him. He told me I dont believe it. He wouldn't listen to me. He came back in the room with a bunch of paperwork where I did call in,as well as my PCP has been monitoring my condition. He never apologized just a bunch of back tracking of what he said to me. I thought about walking out of the office when he left the room to get paperwork but I didn't. I have never had a doctor be so rude and condescending. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. In fact I would warn them not to subject themselves to this kind of unnecessary treatment of a patient. So unprofessional. He has many reviews saying he is rude and unprofessional. He should not even be allowed to practice medicine.

Avoid
I hope that others had better experiences with Dr. Kwaku, but mine was the worst possible. Every time I came for flwup, he kept me on the same medications and insisted that he would not recommend me for surgery and practically refused to treat me for my Grave's disease. He gave me zero alternatives to radioactive iodine treatment, which I was absolutely terrified of having because my mother had lifelong complications that reflected those of other patients who went that route. I once burst into tears after he told me again that he wouldn't offer any alternatives. When I started crying, he just got up, said nothing, and left the room. His RN came and got me and gave me a hug. My mental, physical, and even dental health declined while I was seeing Dr. Kwaku. I finally found an endo who recommended me for a thyroidectomy and I have made a full recovery. I would not recommend Dr. Kwaku unless you enjoy feeling hopeless and suffering. Would not wish him on my worst enemy.

Highly satisfied and recommended.
I just left from having this doctor stick needles in my thyroid for a biopsy literally two hours ago. I wanted to hurry up and leave a great review for this doctor and his staff because they deserve it. He was comfortable to talk to during my visit, he asked questions and listened to everything I had to say. He and his staff are very clean and professional, and the staff joked around which to me is very comforting. I arrived at 8:40 for a 9 o’clock biopsy appointment and I was literally pulling out if the parking lot at 9:45 and in no pain whatsoever. Again he and his staff made it so easy , comfortable and painless. When he walked out he came over patted me on the leg and said “have a great weekend and call if you need us.” Why am I telling you this, because at the office visit he did the same thing , patted me on the back and said “great to meet you.” You wouldn’t pat someone on the back unless you care, he cares, thank you Dr. Kwaku !!!!

I use a freestyle glucose sensor and he poured through all my data points and entries and really gave me some good instructions. Very knowledgeable of diabetes and all other associated conditions that arrive with it. On a personal note I like doctors that are more straight to the point and cut through your excuses and he does that very well.

Terrible bedside manner. He treated my father when in the hospital and was hateful and not helpful, basically saying he was stupid, although he had lived with diabetes for over 40 years which was a miracle in itself. I wouldn't let him treat my dog. He is hateful and very condescending.
