Dr. Meena Makhijani, DO

dr. m. knows me and demonstrates a willingness to listen to my take on my conditions and desires. she handles all professionally with a keen sense of what options to recommend and how i might try an alternative approach to my first instinct. i trust her to always work in my best interest and trust her medical expertise without doubt.

Dr. Mak is patient, thoughtful, thorough and understanding. Cannot recommend her enough!!

Dr. Makhijani is my Mother's Doctor at the Motion Picture Home in Woodland Hill Ca...Mom is 94+ years old and needs my assistance, so Im writing this review / recommendation for the both of us :Dr. Makhijani allways greets us with a smile and a truly caring approach. She is very respectful, professional and a good listener ,which is very important skill . I would recommend Her to anyone in need of GP .We really like her as a person and medical professional.

She was very caring and took her time and listened patiently to all our problems.

I am writing this review for myself and my Wife Ann. Dr. Makhijani has been our primary doctor at the MPTF which is a home for retired Motion Picture and TV folks. Obviously her clients are many and varied of which she serves with understanding, skill, and as another of her many gifts is she actually listens to us which helps the healing process. Not to forget the fact that she always has a smile and a sense of humor.

It was not rushed, we discussed what has been going on since last visit. Any new problems. She is 100% with you. She asks probing questions. She is genuinely interested in solving your problems.

She is constantly happy and cheerful. An attitude welcomed in your doctor’s office. You are made confident of her medical knowledge and how it applies to you. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Makhijani was my very first female doctor I ever had in all my 90 years. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and expertise. She listened to my problems and answered all my questions (I usually had a list for my appointment). She was friendly and attentive. She was patient and welcoming. I would certainly recommend her to anyone

Dr. Makhijani is the doctor that I have been looking for. She listens attentively and has a common sense approach to good health and health care. I feel so fortunate to have found her and feel very much taken care of when I have needed her. She's the real deal, a genuinely authentic and professional medical advisor. Dr. Makhijani has been taking care of both my parents over the last 18 months and she has done a FANTASTIC job with them. My mom has dementia and Dr. Makhijani has been so understanding and empathetic not only to my mom, but to me and my dad as well. She has responded to ALL of my questions/concerns in a very timely manner (within 24 hours) and she really listens to what we have to say. It has been a challenging 18 months with this pandemic and my mom and dad being isolated in a senior care facility, but Dr. Makhijani really helped make it easier on them. Plus, Dr. Makhijani's office is AMAZING too --- very thorough and clear in their communications. I am so thankful for Dr. Makhijani!!!

Everytime I have visited Dr. Makhijani, she always takes as much time as needed to listen to me. She will always recommend a specialist if that will help my problem. All the doctors she has recommended were perfect! She is a wonderful physician, very caring and patient. I never have to wait long at the appointment. All the staff that works with her are excellent as well.

Dr. Makhijani has been my primary physician for 5 years - she is fabulous! She is a warm, caring doctor who clearly cares about her patients. She listens carefully and responds to questions honestly and with empathy. As a senior who is a 3 time cancer survivor, I couldn't have a better doctor taking care of me!!!

Dr Makhijani is like a breath of fresh air as soon as she talks to you. She is caring, compassionate, thorough, reviews all tests, plus a good listener. She took excellent care of my husband also prior to and during his end of life journey. She arranged for his at home Hospice Care and was there for both of us. As his caregiver, I appreciate everything she did in a timely manner. She helped to ease the stress of the process and I could depend on her encouragement at any time. I would recommend Dr Makhijani to anyone looking for a knowledgeable physician who is dedicated to her profession.

If I could leave more stars I would! Dr. Makhijani saved my mothers life after the death of my father. My mother was devastated by the death of her life partner of 72 years and in addition to her dementia, was completely lost and heartbroken without much will to live. Dr. Makhijani redid my mothers medications, admitted her to a behavioral health unit and without a doubt saved her life. Her kindness, patience and care have given my Mom the time to adjust to life without my father. Her guidance has been our families north star thru such a difficult time when we needed someone to advise us. My Mother has lived now over 2 years since this incident. I'm so grateful to the whole staff but especially Dr. Makhijani. I would highly recommend Dr. Meena Makhijani to anyone seeking top notch medical care for their ageing parents. You would be lucky to have her as your doctor.

I found Dr. Makhijani when I was looking for a female primary physician for my mother who has a degenerative brain disorder. Dr. Makhijani took lots of time to understand my mother's situation, where she's at and how to make her most comfortable, as well as our family dynamic. My mother has difficulty speaking and Dr. Makhijani was patient in listening to her. She also took the time to speak separately with my father, who is my mother's primary caregiver, to encourage him to practice self care and accept help from others. The office managed the number of doctors and patients who were physically in the facility, and followed distancing and safety protocols, so we always felt safe.

Dr. Makhijani has been my 93 year old mother's primary care doctor for several years. What I appreciate most is how Dr. Makhijani takes time with her, asking her questions about her life and medical choices/preferences and listening to the answers. Dr. Makhijani also listens to what I have to share about what I am seeing but takes it as a part of the picture. Dr. Makhijani's compassion and attentiveness to the changes in my mother's health are greatly appreciated.

Visits are always informative. Access is good. Dr. Makhijani has a great bedside manor. I would definitely recommend her to my family and friends.
