Not a good Psychiatrist especially for children
Telehealth
I am very disappointed with this psychiatrist that was recommended in treating my daughter for ADHD, anxiety, and depression. She's never on time for the appointment and has been condescending towards me and the last visit she talked to me in a way that made me feel like a bad parent. She recently refused to refill medication and only said so after I chased them around for 2 weeks and we were already out of the medication. I don't think she really cares about her patients, just the money she makes. The very first appointment she tried telling me my daughter did not have ADHD even though my daughter's PCP diagnosed her with it and everyone could see the symptoms. She's tried changing prescriptions for no reason and the only good thing about her is she has later appointments so I don't have to take time off from work. Otherwise I don't think she's a good doctor and will be looking for a new psychiatrist for my daughter.

Horrible listening skills
Telehealth
You would have a better more comforting experience talking to a wall than this doctor. She lacks empathy or the ability to communicate with her patients in a compassionate manner. She made me feel stupid after I spilled my heart out to her. She is rude and I do not feel she helped me at all

Lazy Psychiatrist
This is an actual lazy psychiatrist who slaps a label that you need to get removed later. Then refuses to go back on the decision. Despite actual psychiatric behavioral observation hospitals and diagnostic experts stating she is wrong. Something that had to be done after I, with several years of prior psychiatry and no issues walked in to get my medications re-filled. Refused evidence, and kept trying to make false allegations of problematic behavior despite recording the actual session. She will feed the wards with literal false allegations.

Excellent psychiatrist
I have been seeing Dr. Vemuri for four years and am impressed with her knowledge of medications. She has helped me tremendously in regard to prescriptions that will work with me, and she only prescribes once she has talked with me thoroughly about my symptoms. I recommend her to anyone who can benefit from psychiatric expertise.

Terrible
This "doctor" should not be allowed to practice medicine. She abandons patients as she does not answer her voicemails or emails. Stay away from this one.

Really awful. The other reviews, frankly, are too kind. A disgrace to her profession; condescending to her clients; not punctual; is a very good example of a 'doctor' with a God complex. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT. For ANY reason or service. Please. You may end up even more traumatized (as I and obviously many others have). 20 Ratings is significant and I entirely regret ever calling this place.

Dr. Vemuri has been helping me successfully for 3 years now. As with any medications surrounding mental disorders, there is a fair amount of trial and error. But the decisions on what to try were all made methodically and adjusted when necessary. She seems knowledgeable and professional.

Lazy doctor. She doesn’t care and it shows. Don’t expect this doc to return calls. She’s condescending. She has poor command of her profession. Go elsewhere if you can find someone else.

I was with Dr. Vemuri and obediently took the meds she prescribed, one after another. None of them worked and my condition worsened. Every time I visited I BEGGED for help and to let me try some meds that would ease my episodes, which could last weeks. Every time, it was, "no, try this thing, it'll help. time's up," refusing to listen as or put any effort in to help as I am on the verge of tears. In one bad incident, she did not respond to my several calls and abandoned me when I needed her.

When we moved to the area, I made appointments with Dr. Vemuri for both my daughter and myself. Neither of us really liked how she questioned us and questioned everything we've been told before. But what's worse is that on three separate occasions, I've left messages for Dr. Vemuri because of problems my daughter was having with her medications, and she never returned my calls. That's totally unacceptable for ANY healthcare provider. We will not return to her office.
