After living with a labrum tear in my hip and suffering through pain for so long I was completely anxious about this repairs. Dr. Mayer was thorough, informative, attentive and caring throughout the entire process of repairing this injury. Now a year later I have mobility back and am living life again! That would not be possible without Dr. Mayer! Forever grateful for her expertise. I had a hip arthroscopy performed by Dr. Mayer, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. From my very first consultation to a year after surgery, each visit showed Dr. Mayer is incredibly knowledgeable. She listened to all my concerns, thoroughly explained my condition, and all my treatment options. She answered all my questions with patience and clarity, which gave me great confidence going into surgery.Beyond her expertise, Dr. Mayer is also incredibly personable and caring. She made me feel comfortable every step of the way, ensuring I was well-informed and at ease before and after the procedure. I have seen three different surgeons for three different issues at Rockhill. you can tell when a Doctor takes pride in their work and cares about their patient. I LOVE DR MAYER! And all her staff. She explains things so well, remembers you when you come in (which doesn’t really happen at Rockhill) , she is meticulous, and thorough. She is simply amazing. The things she can do are even more amazing! She fixed my hip flawlessly! If you are looking for someone to correct something she specializes in? LOOK NO FURTHER! LOVE HER!

Dr. Mayer is absolutely amazing!! From beginning to end, she treated me with care, concern & kindness. She always provided me with all of my options, but never forcefully. I ended up needing hip surgery, and she explained the whole process thoroughly and gave me all the time I needed to answer any of my questions. Before, during and after the surgery, her team (especially Jordan) was amazing and quick to respond if I ever needed anything. While the recovery is a slow one, I’m happy to say the surgery was a huge success! If/when my other hip starts to act up, I will 100% go back to her! I’ll continue to send people her way to who need her specialized care.

Dr. Mayer did a fabulous job with my surgery. From the beginning she listened to my issue with my hip and did not blow me off. She understood my concerns and validated my pain. She went through all the steps to ensure an accurate diagnosis to my problem. Once we discovered that my labrum was in fact torn and beat up pretty bad, she did not hesitate to ask my opinion about surgery. She did not force any procedure on me and valued my opinion about what I wanted to do with my body. After thoroughly discussing what steps to take we landed on surgery being the best option. I got scheduled In a decent timely manner. Once the surgery was done I immediately felt the difference. She did note that after seeing inside my hip it was worse than previous thought. She corrected the issue and gave me more than adequate care. Her team gave me all the support I could have needed. The follow up visits were timely and I felt that I was heard every step of the process. I can't thank her enough.

Dr. Mayer and her team are the best orthopedic team in all of KC. She is very meticulous with her work as well as the aftercare post-surgery. A week after my surgery with her I unfortunately landed myself back in the hospital with a kidney infection (nothing from the hip surgery) and Dr. Mayer went out of her way to check in with my doctors to make sure everything was okay pertaining to my hip as well as my overall health. Dr. Mayer and her team have amazing bedside manner, and always walk you through the next steps. She makes sure you are comfortable and educated through the whole process before and after surgery. Would highly recommend her to anybody near or far.

Dr. Mayer is the best orthopedic surgeon! She was very detailed when explaining my condition to me, showed me my MRI (explaining what I was looking at), and her bedside manners are excellent. Dr. Mayer cares about her patients and she never rushes her appointments, because she takes the time to listen to your concerns. She allows you to make decisions on behalf of your own health care and her nurse Jordan is always friendly and follows up phone calls in a promptly manner. I would recommend Dr. Mayer and her team for sure to anyone because you will be in good hands.

Dr. Mayer has been and continues to be an amazing orthopedic surgeon, I was dealing with hip pain for 4 years and when I first saw dr. Mayer and met her team I was amazed on how they listened to everything I had to say and talked with me about everything thoroughly. I would recommend her to anyone needing an orthopedic doctor.

Very happy with Dr. Mayer. She was very thorough and explained every detail. I really appreciated her showing me the MRI photos and describing what was wrong and how she could fix it. She was very kind and paid attention to my other medical issues so that my knee surgery didn't complicate other things. I would definitely recommend her.

She listens and answers all your questions. Never in a rush to get you out the door. If you have to have a procedure done like I did, she explains everything she is going to do before she does it and goes step by step explaining what she’s going to do before she does it. Her bedside manner is off the charts! She goes up and beyond as any other doctor I’ve been to!

Was absolutely impressed with Dr. Mayer throughout my evaluation, surgery, and rehab. She provided excellent care and my outcome is very pleasing. The rest of the staff at Rockhill did an excellent job. Everything from scheduling, check in, pre surgery, and follow up, nothing but impressed. So grateful for Dr. Mayer. I would highly recommend.

I absolutely love Dr. Mayer. She gave me my quality of life back. I am 38, I fell back in Nov. 2017 and messed up my knee and tore my labral in my left hip. Therapy helped my knee but made my hip worse. We did surgery March 2019, I know have my life back. I am so thankful I was handed over to Dr. Mayer for my hip. Thank you Dr. Mayer!
