The patient we brought in to see Dr. Goyal has an intellectual disability as well as mental health illness. We provided Dr. Goyal with a note ahead of time to please be delicate in tone and not discuss lab results because patient was no able to appropriately respond to the serious issues contained in the labs. Dr. Goyal ignored the note even though she read it, and proceeded to speak in a careless tone to both patient and supportive staff. Dr. Goyal was rude and asked why she (as the patients primary care doctor) was being involved in taking care of this patient. Her manner was inappropriate. Perhaps a scrape on the knee might have brought out a better bedside manner, but the seriousness of why the patient was there needed more care than she was willing to give. She is rude, uncaring and harsh.
