Dr. Meghan Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is the most amazing gynecologist. Above all she is kind and has the best bedside manner. She’s been taking amazing care of me for the past 3 years now and always has time for me. She is very knowledgeable and answers all my questions over and over again to make sure I feel heard and taken care of. I know I can trust her with my health, and I’m thankful to be her patient.

Besides knowledgeble, she is kind ( I have no idea what other people mean by bedside manner). I have seen her for over 5 years now and she never was mean to me. She saved my life, finding my life my ectopic pregnancy (up until she did I was in one ER already and was sent in home). She found me in a second ER where I went because I was in pain. Up until that moment I never seen her and she was not my regular Oby who didn't event wanted to see me until the 2nd month of the pregnancy even though I said that I'm bleeding, I'm in a pain and I have a positive pregnancy test. Dr. Patel followed up with me multiple times calling me, yes she did personally called me. I never had a doctor who will call you to check on you. Since then she has been my oby and she still calls me with tm results. I trust her with my life!

I was a patient of Dr. Patel’s about 3/4 years ago. I really liked her as my OB. However once I saw her after for routine gynecology matters she didn’t seem as personable. She also told me to consider losing weight. Mind you I am not obese and I just had a child about 1-2 years ago with a rough delivery and was also on a new depression medication. I had a lot of mental health issues she was aware of and to add the last sentence “As for weight, you could lose a few pounds” her words verbatim. That stuck with me and I soon after left that practice. I believe as an OB she is great but maybe just needs to rethink what she says to certain patients based on their medical history.

Dr. Patel has incredible bed side manner! I've been seeing her for 4 years now, she delivered my two sons and wouldn't want any other doctor. She is always so kind and caring. In delivery, she talked me through step by step, stayed calm and collected the whole time which made the experience so great for me and my husband.

When I had doctor Patel as my gyno she was horrendously rude and as other have said, has no bedside manner and spent my entire appointment body shaming me. She told me that a yeast infection I had was because I was fat. DO NOT GO TO DOCTOR PATEL.

I can't believe that I'm reading this bad reviews. I had an ectopic pregnancy that was misdiagnosed by 2 previous doctors. Dr. Patel found me in the ER during one of her other patients visit which was a God blessing as she not just saved my life by diagnosing the ectopic pregnancy but also removing it in early stage so I got out of it with two ovaries. She is THE ONLY doctor that would personally follow up with me over the phone to check how I'm doing. Really! How many doctors have ever called you personally over the phone to check what are your concerns and answer all your questions?!

Doctor Patel is the best! She delivered my son via c section and Was extremely positive. While being 6 months postpartum she’s still looking out for my health. I will be forever greatful for her!

I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Patel. After a miscarriage, I switched to Dr. Patel and she was so warm, helpful, hopeful, and patient. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and took the tone to explain everything. I am happy to have found her!!

I find these comments to be untrue from my own experiences . I was switched to Dr. Patel after my previous provider left. I was going through a very upsetting time and Dr. Patel was very comforting . She is easy to access via the portal and always seemed very caring and knowledgeable about what I needed to do about my health. I never had a negative experience with her . I would definitely recommend her .

I'm a 19 year old college student and was very nervous upon arriving at my appointment for a routine gynecological exam. Dr. Patel did absolutely nothing to ease my fears and was extremely cold and difficult to talk to. She made me feel insecure and judged and during the exam, made a comment about self harm scars on my stomach. Not only was this extremely inappropriate but it was very upsetting to me and I ended up leaving the office in tears. I would definitely not recommend Dr. Patel.

I’m shocked at some of these reviews. Dr Patel has been nothing but nice and a excellent physician to me. Yes she did discuss my weight especially during my pregnancy, but she just wants me to be healthier. She dilivered my son and without her I don’t know what I would have done. The epidural was not successful and I was induced and she got me through the process. Keeping me positive and pushing me to do better and telling me I could do this. She is by far the most compassionate doctor I have.

I have been bringing my now 16 yo daughter to see Dr. Patel for 2 years now. I will not be bringing her back to her again! This past appointment I was horrified by the things coming out of her mouth to a vulnerable 16 yo girl who already suffers with self-esteem issues, especially related to her body! She has no bedside manner, she was rude and dismissed all the important issues we needed to discuss regarding my daughter's health issues, instead spent 20 minutes berating her for her weight!

Arguably the worst provider I have ever interacted with. I was experiencing severe pain from rupturing ovarian cysts and other issues due to a hormonal method of birth control. Meanwhile, she was accusatory and rude throughout the entire visit. Despite her blatant affinity for hormonal birth control methods, I had the device removed and felt better within a few weeks (no more reoccurring cysts either). She has no bed-side manners whatsoever and is extremely condescending and unpleasant. Awful.

Dr. Patel handled my (successful) external cephalic version, she delivered my son, and also performed his circumcision. She's matter-of-fact, knowledgeable, and a skillful doctor. I think of her as a friend and doctor. You just have to get to know her and trust that you're in good hands.

Dr. Patel advised me I needed a biopsy which I advised her that I already had done a few months prior. She said it had to be done within 6 months of a procedure and it was not in my records. So she did another one. When she called me to give me the results prior to surgery she said not enough tissue was taken and the results were inconclusive she'd take another biopsy during the procedure. I demanded she check my records again and she found I did have a biopsy prior as I stated. Very upsetting!

This doctor has ZERO bedside manner and is SO rude. She is one of the reasons I am leaving the practice. When I was pregnant she told me I was gaining to much weight. Then grabbed my arm and said where else is it going to go when it doesnt go to your belly. I gained 25 pounds...25!! My entire pregnancy. I dont think that is too much! I also had many problems once I gave birth and ended up spending an extra few days in the hospital. She showed no care in the world and was RUDE!

While Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable, she doesn't have (as of yet?) the needed maturity of critical 'bed-side manners'.
