Some Appreciation for Dr. Weir
We’ve had a wonderful experience with Dr. Weir as our pediatrician for the past four years.Aside from her being a highly skilled and educated physician, she stays up to date on the latest research and practices, which inform all her diagnoses and treatment plans. As a mom herself, she understands the challenges of parenthood firsthand and offers guidance that is both practical and experiential. She also takes the time to speak directly to my daughter during exams, making my daughter feel comfortable in the exam room and encouraging her to be involved in her own care.Beyond all that, I truly appreciate her commitment to keeping all her patients safe and healthy. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that when I bring my daughter in for a visit, the children in the exam room next door are also vaccinated—meaning I don’t have to worry about her being exposed to easily preventable, Oregon Trail diseases. Dr. Weir is exactly the kind of doctor every child deserves!

Inmunization
My experience with this doctor has been negative. First, say that every time we have gone to her office for an appointment we have waited an hour to be seen, which shows a lack of consideration for the patients, I have visited other doctors in the same hospital and, she is the only one who always takes a long time (almost an hour waiting) to see her patients. I want to say that this doctor has denied the service of continuing to be my daughter's doctor since we refused to give my daughter (17 years old) the second dose of the meningitis vaccine. First, she asked us repeatedly why we were opposed to the vaccine and we answered why, and even so she continued to ask us without accepting or respecting our opinion on the matter. I felt a little coerced by her attitude. A few days later we received a letter denying us the service to continue being my daughter's doctor, which I am glad because I intended to change her doctor anyway.

Best pediatrician!
She is amazing with my son and at every visit takes the time to answer questions. She is incredibly well informed and well meaning.

It has taken me 6 months to be able to write about my experience with this doctor, 9/19/19. I gave birth at the North Shore Birth Center and transferred to Beverly hospital for post partum care. Mehgan Weir was assigned to examine and discharge us. We follow a natural life style. And while we understand it is a doctors job to inform us of risks, Dr. Weir took it several steps further by yelling at me and talking down to me. Fully abusing her authority as "Doctor", to scare me and guilt me into vaccinating my child. She not only told me that I should see a child die from pertussis. But, also that is it would be my fault if my son had a stroke from a brain bleed and died. This is a medical professional. I was less than 48 hours post partum in tears and shaking with my baby in my arms and my 5 year old sitting next to me. When I asked her to leave she threatened, that I would not be discharged. Her language and hostility was completely unprofessional and out of line.
