Dr. Melanie Andersen, MD

My first visit with Dr. Andersen was everything I expected from a professional physician. They listened to me and to my concerns, provided clear explanations, and followed up on prescribed tests with comments and clarifications. This was a regular annual wellness visit (in-take patient) where we discussed about getting ready for conception for a first-time pregnancy. I plan to be under their care when I get pregnant.

Took no time to create a connection with me, even though I had to have an abortion, and then another one 4 months later due to the IUD moving and/or bad placement by them. When they inserted the IUD after the first termination it was extremely painful, and mind you this was not my first time having an IUD inserted. Follow ups were rushed and she never seemed to care. They also charged me for things that they had not clearly told me about and management quickly took off the charges when I threatened to complain to higher management. This provider caused me severe trauma. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER!!! Does not care about her patients and the possible trauma she is creating.

I have been seeing Dr. Melanie Anderson for my prenatal care. She is just fine. I feel that my visits are rushed and have very little time for questions or true connection. She isn’t negligent and has been responsive whenever something is needed. She just doesn’t do much at all to foster the patient/clinician relationship, even in supporting a first-time pregnancy, which is a time when it is really important to feel connected, cared for and understood by your provider.

Dr Andersen is an excellent physician. She is a great listener, detail oriented, and thoughtful in patient care. She is compassionate and kind. She practices with great integrity. I have and will continue to recommend my loved ones to see her.

Misdiagnosed condition; failed to treat correctly; no follow-up on radiologist's concerns; contacted other treating doctors without permission, a privacy violation, to coerce patient into HRT despite drug warnings for multiple medical conditions. Denied antibiotic for infection, claiming patient must use HRT first.
