Dr. Appell is the consummate professional. EXTREMELY knowledgeable! She does NOT OVERDO facial treatments like some Derm Docs and I never feel like she’s trying to “sell me” anything. I’ve gone to her for 20 years. Best anti-wrinkle doc in town!

Nearly 25 years ago, my sister and I became patients of Dr. Melanie Appell. Yesterday, I took my eight year old daughter for her first visit. Dr. Appell, Allison Cease (CRNP), Myesha Hudson (RN) and the entire staff were professional and friendly. As always, Dr. Appell spent ample time examining my daughter, listening to both our concerns and formulating a suitable treatment plan all the while putting my very anxious daughter at ease. I am fortunate to now call Dr. Appell "our doctor."

Dr. Appell and their PAC, Natalie George have been incredible. I had a rash on my legs and Natalie ended up diagnosing it as a condition caused by swelling in the lower legs. Thanks to her quick and accurate diagnosis, I am now in physical therapy to remedy this condition before it turns into a bigger health issue. I cannot thank them enough for their help and medical care.

Where to begin with this doctor. I have endured more issues since my first visit with her. She misdiagnosed two skin rashes as both being "dermatitis". She even said the word LUPUS...but did not think it was that (then why suggest it?). Two months later I have a huge scar where she did a biopsy ON A RASH and I still have a rash (turned out to be RINGWORM) on my other arm. She completely misdiagnosed my skin issue and I have been miserable for two months and now I am scarred (literally).

1st time patient. Was taken back to a patient room within 10 minutes of signing in. Was seen by Dr shortly after. She was courteous and professional. Did not try to sell me on treatments I don't need.

I have been a patient of Dr. Appell for over 10 years. I became disillusioned with her competency as I have recently had a spot that she has been glancing over in my annual exams biopsied and diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma! This huge scar on my forehead might have been smaller if she had caught it earlier!!
