Dr. Melanie Kelton, MD

I am new to the Greenwich area and went to Dr. Kelton because I could get in fast. Most PCPs take over 1 year. First red flag.Second red flag. My WestMed OBGYN told me to switch AS SOON as she learned I was seeing Dr. Kelton. The staff members in Dr. Kelton’s OWN office also encouraged me to switch as discreetly as they could.Third red flag. No notes after my annual wellness checkup? This is called DOING YOUR JOB. My prior PCP would share a thorough write-up providing an analysis of lab results, highlight areas of concern and action plan or next steps that we discussed during appointment. I received an AUTO generated report from Dr. Kelton with no comments, no observations, no next steps, no indication she even evaluated my results, nada. She is LAZY, not thorough and is sitting back collecting insurance payments. I think it is embarrassing for the other doctors in her practice to even affiliate with her level of care. It makes me call the whole group into question. DO NOT SEE.

My experience with Dr. Kelton began positively, I am young and only saw her for yearly physicals or illness that cropped up. For the past two or so years I had regularly reported extreme exhaustion, (I'm under 30 and needed naps), weight gain and (more recently) hair loss. She continuously dismissed this as an unhealthy lifestyle and regularly encouraged me to eat healthier or work out more frequently. At my most recent physical (last fall) I was more adamant that I felt something was off. Her response was "Well, do you want me to run more tests or something?" to which I said yes, please. Long story short, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and thyroid cancer after these tests results came back and warranted a visit to a specialist. She clearly felt I was "too young" to have any major issues and had come to the conclusion that I lived an unhealthy lifestyle. She was dismissive and gaslit me for two years. It changed the way I view general practitioners.

She is so condescending and rude. STAY AWAY. Does not care at all.

Dr. Kelton has a distinctly unpleasant and belittling demeanor. As a 57-year-old woman with underlying health conditions, I expected at least some discussion of my medical history; instead, she blew through and dismissed the highest level information. She was awful.

Considered her my general practitioner. Saw minimally since I’m young and healthy. Sent Work-mandated covid test results to her. Called next day for results and she Refused to give test results without a televisit Since I hadn’t seen her in 2 years (I had been pregnant and monitored regularly and didn’t need to see GP during that time). I am a public school teacher - in her town - explained I didn’t have privacy for a televisit during the day since I was working and her making me Wait 7 hours For results that she was HOLDING IN HER HAND for a pandemic virus just so she can have a televisit could result in me exposing the entire middle school of 1000 people. I Had the results resent to my OBGYN who called me immediately with my negative result. So dr kelton knew I was negative and still wanted a televisit. Sneaky. Don’t trust her. Completely tone deaf in the pandemic toward an essential worker. Will NEVER see again or recommend

Dr. Kelton deserves high marks from me. The office team is extremely professional. High five to Karina.

Dr. Kelton is our main health resource, our go-to-person who assists us with day-to-day health problems such as the flu or a sprained ankle as-well-as my referral source to specialist when necessary. More importantly, she oversees all of the care we receive. Our project manager, helping us navigate through the health care system. Dr. Kelton makes sure we get the tests & treatments we need. She is a great communicator, collaborator & committed to her practice according to the best evidence.
